Adnan Januzaj

He is clearly ahead of Zaha in the pecking order so he shouldn't be getting paid any less than him. Although I don't actually know how much Zaha is been paid.

He's effortless on the ball, just a joy to watch and he won us that game today along with De Gea's amazing save. I'm not into hyperbole, lets just give him a good competitive contract offer and hope he signs. If he does sign I'd say he could be the magic #7 we have been waiting for since Ronaldo left.

Yep, screw it, what are we setting a precedent for? You don't get talents like his very often. If we were trying to sign him from barca we'd pay the proper wages for him. If we signed a player of his technical ability right now from another club we'd have to pay big. He's a special talent, let's pay what it takes for a special talent.

I agree with this. Our 'precedent' went out of the window when we signed similar would class hotshots like Rooney or Ronaldo. He deserves to be placed in the same category, not penalised because he is a home grown talent

Lets not go nuts, but he should be given wages in the 30-40k range (same as Pogba is paid at Juventus I believe) and with strong bonus incentives based on no of performances etc.

I know there's a general fear about over playing kids but we've seen with Giggs, Messi etc - if you use them right then they can still heavily feature and that would be only right seeing as though he can make a difference. I love the fact that he was all over the place. Someone that always makes himself available is vital when at times others are static. Quality debut and hopefully he can keep getting goals because that is his main weakness.

Makes sence to give him the going rate. The way the transfer market is going the cost of replacing him with a similar talent would probably be 3-4 times his wages over the next 5 years.

The reason why Adnan scored and played so well is because i changed my profile last night and put him as my favourite United player and favourite United moment.

Why should he be given 30-40k? Good thing you're not negotiating our wages. If there's one thing Arsenal fans hate it's that too many average players are on big wages. They only need to trim a little bit more to cut off the fat.

Not saying that Januzaj is average, just that it's not a very good precedent to give an 18 year old a monster wage hike after a couple of good performances. That's what Bendtner got. That's what the likes of Macheda haven't gotten.

We've been crying out for a technical wizard who playmakes in sync with the United style of play for so long and we have one come through the youth ranks, quite funny that.

He has the languid running style of a young Bobby Charlton in my opinion and the ability to dictate the tempo to boot, the young Bobby was pretty quick as well in the very few clips I've seen of games from Pre Munich accident and in the 1962 world cup (think it was this world cup - he was played on the left).

I don't think we should be concerned with what he earns. The fact is, he won't be a poor man if he keeps working hard. Surely what should entice any kid, is telling them that if they keep their head down and continue to improve, they'll get opportunities to play in league games or in the cups or even in Europe. I think that is the way to show anyone, that you trust them. Offering him 90k as opposed to 20k won't make that much of a difference, considering we're talking about an 18 year old.

I think for much too long, the attitudes been ..if they do well let them play in the cups. We've seen today, if they're good enough then they can produce. I hate to think what the result would have been if he hadn't have been selected.

I am watching the games in Fox Italia and the journo there has said quite a few times that Adnan has decided to play for Albania. Don't know if he is actually retarded (cause it has been the third game in the row that he's mentioning it) or he has some inside info considering that Albania's manager is an Italian. feck knows. Hopefully he's right anyway.

Shame that FIFA has yet to accept Kosovo (that Platini twat). It would have been a very strong squad with the likes of Adnan (Belgium), Shaqiri, Xhaka, Bekrami (Switzerland), Berisha (Norway) and half of Albanian national team. Likely it would have been as strong as Montenegro or Serbia.

definitely need to sign him up asap. Looks effortless on the ball, glides past players without raw pace as such, it's more acceleration.

terrific pair of goals today, really saved our bacon.

I might be wrong here but if they do let Kosovo have a team then all these players can switch back to them regardless of having played for another country.

The problem is probably not wages anyway. He's probably just stalling his decision based on the managerial change, which is completely understandable.

If he leaves and becomes a major superstar for city/juve, I hope he celebrates the CL final winning goal against us with the above post under his shirt.

Sign.Him.Up.

He reminds me of a young Ryan Giggs in a way. Lacks Giggsy's rugby like running style or searing pace but he's fearless, commits defenders, gets forward into very good positions and is a genuine goal threat.

Really excited about what he could become if we give him a proper go (and a new 5 year deal!) Lets not do a Pogba with this one. If he progresses one day 'Januzaj 7' shirts will be flying off the racks in Syndey, Shanghai and Salford!

His exotic name helps. Unbelievably confident. Schmikes alluded to it post match, but he pretty much embodies what Fergie said the primary quality of a world class player is in that interview with Charlie Rose - courage. The boy has it in buckets. Nothing fazes him. The emergence of a young player of this quality is probably the most exciting thing to watch as a football fan. I would also make the sex with him, he is beautiful and colt like. Needs to get on the old clearasil though

Thank god you're not negotiating his contract otherwise he'd be off in a minute. He showed today that he is very much a starter.

Ballsy decision to start him but it was the right one. Credit to Moyes. Keep playing him, he is good enough.

Where did I actually say any different? I'm saying it's not entirely about money. That's my opinion. I think the kid will just want to play and I think that's the most important thing

How are Belgium producing so many class youngsters lately anyway? They're fast turning into a football powerhouse.

It's because football is a poor man's sport. Belgium has had a lot of imigration, people come from all over the world and usually from places where football is the only thing to fall back on - and this has also divided the country and created ghettos. In the ghetto you either become a criminal or you play football to get a chance to get out of the missery.

Can anyone provide me with a proper answer?

Thank Maastricht for that.
