I'd love to hear the Nicky Butt chant resurrected properly after the Possebon debacle. "Adnan Januzaj" would fit it perfectly.

It's already been done but now he's got a proper chant of his own which is much better.

On a side note, I was a bit disappointed to hear off somebody that they met Januzaj in Trafford Centre and when they asked him for a photo he started tutting and telling them to 'hurry up then'. I know he's not obliged to do any of that, but you'd think a player in his position would be a bit more humble and appreciative of the support he's receieved.

I find it odd that people expect him to put his day on hold so they can take a picture with him.

I'm not so sure, I don't really like the idea of approaching footballers myself as I'd rather leave them to it. I've seen loads of them in and around Manchester but never bothered any of them. I just don't think Januzaj should be acting like that, though that may be a bit naïve on my part. I reckon if I approached the likes of Beckham, Cantona, Giggs (ie. actual legends/superstars) then they'd probably be at least a bit more friendly.

My son took a picture with him at Trafford Centre a few weeks back, and he was very obliging.

Yeah perhaps but they are people too, which I think a lot of folks forget from time to time. They have good days and bad days just like the rest of us. Maybe he was on his way to see a dentist and was running late...there are numerous possibilities, in the end, he did stop and let the person take a picture, yet the person still found time to complain about it. That makes them sound like a bigger dick than Adnan and certainly ungrateful.

My friend saw Darren Bent at cineworld a couple years back when he was playing for Spurs and refused to take a picture with him.

Put yourself in their shoes and have everyone stopping you all day long asking for photos etc, it would get annoying.

:D just changed it...
What do you think of the chant?

Doesn't work, sorry. The 2nd line and 4th line doesn't rhyme, and I think it would flow better saying januzaj rather than adnan januzaj. Although I like the potential of the tune.

Cool, maybe it was just a bad day then.

He's only 18 and probably acted like any normal teenager! I do believe it's still very new to him and that he's still trying to get used to the fact that he's becoming more a recongisable and well known figure now and would need to behave somewhat differently. Give him time he looks like a good lad

Can't blame the lad, the lure of Nandos is too strong for some.

Oop wrong thread.

still.

Doesn't matter does it? He can't play for England can he because of some home nations agreement until 2018.

Headline and story not matching up shocker.

In other news, Moyes is chasing Townsend.

I'd like to think someone at United showing him a video of Wembley spending 28 seconds whistling and booing the minute silence for the 50th anniversary of Munich would make him change his mind but I'm not an idealist.

(and it is bollocks)

Hope he never ever joins that shit NT, thankfully, his father seems to be a very reasonable person and I hope that Adnan ends up playing for Kosovo or Albania, or atleast Belgium.

On the plus side, if he were to become an England star the refs and FA might give him a bit more protection.

How is convincing him to play for Kosovo reasonable? The kid is Belgian.

How are England shit compared to Albania or a country that in footballing terms doesn't exist yet?

Whatever but England then if it pleases you.

It's not about England itself but it's fans, media and all that shit. Seen Class of 92? Becks was talking about all the abuse him and his family got when he 'let people down'. Add booing Munich anniversary to that, just no.

I hope he plays for whoever he wants to play for, which I can only imagine is Belgium but that is just me assuming anyone would want to play for the country they grew up in. The main thing is, if his father is a "very reasonable person" then he should stay out of it and let the kid decide who he wants to represent himself.

It will be hilarious if he chooses England.

The Irish, Scottish and Welsh will hate him for liking England. Belgium, Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo will hate him for not choosing them and the English would hate him for not being English. Not me though, I would love him to play for England!
