Just watched a little TMZ and they said Jack (if you don't know who I am referring to get a life) warned Heath of the possible effects of taking sleeping pills, as Jack once after taking Ambien almost drove off a cliff outside of Los Angeles

Might have been more accurate.
I was just reading an article by Moviehole via Batman on Film regarding Heath. It sounds as though the press really made his life a misery and were just plain nasty toward him.

Yeah apparently because he was rude to them(not answering all their questions) during the premiere of Brokeback Mountain, the press sprayed both he and Michelle Williams with squirtguns and dirty water
Apparently the same thing drove him out of Australia as well. Press giving him a torrid time. Read somethign about how he got tired of the press that during one scheduled interview, he sat and said nothing and just ate an orange the entire time before leaving.
