Academy Award nominee Heath Ledger, 28, has died of a drug overdose in New York, police have confirmed.
He was found dead in his bed in one of his residences in Soho by his housekeeper at 3.35pm local time, TMZ said.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ they believe it was not a crime.

Ledger was born in Perth, Western Australia.

He was the son of Sally Ledger Bell, a French teacher, and Kim Ledger, a race car driver and mining engineer.

Drugs are like guns mate, they’re not the ones who kill people, it’s people who kill people, he made his choice of taking drugs and that’s what killed him, not the drugs.

I loved 10 things I hate about you. Its one of my fave girly movies. A knights tale was great too.

Obviously yes, I was saying it more as "Stupid Legder had to get involved with drugs and ended up dead" more than "poor Ledger got involved with drugs and ended up dead" obviously it´s his fault, but just like with others in the past it´s sad that such a great young talent had to be so stupid as to have gotten himself involved with drugs, killing himself in the process.

Anyway, let´s not let this thread go into that. He was a great actor, and he died. RIP.
 
Sad news. It's a shame so much talent goes to waste so often.
