not so sure they really need to until 20 minutes or so left. They will only come out fully if we score first. If they score it will be shut down shop and try to hit us on the break. Remember 1-0 to milan sees them through

I dont believe they can keep us out though

They're not good with the counter. They think they are, but they're not. They play 'possessive' football. It's attacking football, but it's possessive and slow build up to a creative pass. They pass and control the ball, and try and look for killer passes.
In order to play counter you need quick wingers, and one quick forward/target man. Kaka is the only real fast one.
Who plays good counter? we do ... Giggs, and Ronaldo ... fast, good dribbling and ball control.

Pirlo at the death 89th minute or so.

United proceed to the finals after a very tight second leg with stellar defensive work from United.

if we are trailing expect us to attack like hell...they actually fear our style of play...its really up to us...if we dont play to our strength...we will regret it...I think SAF has learned much about his team since the Roma home win...certainly as far as Europe is concerned.
 
I was nervous as fcuk before and during the 1st leg. don't expect this Wed to be any different.
seeing as it's a 3pm game over here I'm considering taking a half day on Wed so I can watch this live.
btw: if some cnut in my office tries to schedule a meeting for me in the afternoon they'll find out soon enough that I'm not a "team player". I

our form against italian teams away in europe was shite before 99 when got a win and a draw away from home. TBH i am glad the second leg is at milan and we have a lead rather then coming home down 3-2. Milan should be shitting themselves about right now especially if they plan to attack us. If ronaldo and rooney have there A game we will win this never mind a draw.

The lead from the 1st leg is vital. We play excellently on the counter attack and i feel this could win us the game.

If we go there with the same defence we had at Old Trafford we are really fecked but if we go there with Rio or Vida or them both, counting with our attacking skills the chance of progress will be huge

why is everyone acting like either vidic or rio are back for sure? nothing's been announced and there's surely a good chance that neither of the two will be passed fit for wednesday, right?

I am bricking it already. As much as the league is the priority, it doesn't really get any bigger than a Champions League semi final second leg.

Reading this thread, most of you cnuts seem to be confident that Rio and/or Vidic will be back and that we will go through.

Well, put your cocks right back in, cause we are likely to be playing a very very weak defense with even Evra suspended. Add to this the fact that Gatusso will be playing, we will be playing at the feckin san siro and they have 2 away goals. It is going to be very very tough.

Almost 48 hours to go and I am already shitting it big time.

which is when we're at our best anyway, attacking. Rooney and Ronaldo will not play for a draw, I don't think Fergie would have them play for a draw, I'm with you mate, I hope we just go at them
 
hey does anyone know if gattuso is fit to play? He did pretty well for them at Old Trafford, we began to dominate midfield once he had to come off.
 
What makes it an even more exciting game is the fact that if Scholes, Ronaldo or Heinze recieve a yellow they are banned for the final.
 
With barely 3 weeks till the end of the season and Euro glory very close - NOW is the time to gamble with injuries - when are you looking to save them for?!?!?
 
Milan will try to win this game, this will open up their defence a bit, and there's no way they can stop Rooney and Ronaldo from playing and scoring.

I think our youthful determination to succeed could see us through this match, whereas it will be a "been there, done that" sort of Milan side.
