I didn't watch the game, but I often find the problem with his offensive game isn't getting forward, which he does, but rather actually combining and producing something while there.

You should watch it if you can, he was good last night, but yeah I agree his end product hasn't been great. Is it so bad though that he should be frozen out of the squad entirely? I'm not so sure.

As I've said above, I don't think he's any worse a back up than Malacia.

Hopefully that assist helped to put him in the shop window for potential suitors. If we could get any money for him I would be delighted.

He grew more comfortable but Casemiro was also occasionally dropping into his little pocket to help relieve him off build up responsibilities. He played well enough and knows how to chase his own loose touches but it also showed that ETH doesn't feel confident in the first two-thirds.

It's a shame his passing is so poor because there's a lot about his game that's good.

One thing I do really like about him, there's no diving, no feigning injury, no drama, no cheating and he goes into more bine crunching challenges than most. He's old school in that sense and a rare thing amongst todays players.

Assuming he's not on over 200k pw... I don't see why we can't get £20m for this guy. Decent signing for some lower half pl team.

Agreed, no problem with selling him if we get a decent fee but we do need a back up right back and he has his strengths

I cant believe people still want him gone. Name me better back up RBs in the prem? Not many. Sure if we could somehow get someone that going to compete or even better than Dalot then sure go for it. But surely we have a million other priorities. Wan B can do a job until summer. I fail to see why not.

I don´t think we´ll be able to bring in a new RB in the range or 20-30m that is any better than Bissaka. It´s such a long time we´ve seen him play, and maybe we are forgetting that he actually used to be quite decent. People have been disappointed not to see him being picked for England, and he actually had a good start of last season. Eventually, he fell off together with rest of the team, and missed out of his chance under RR through injury. Since then, we´ve hardly seen him play. If he wants to stay and fight for his place, then I struggle to see why that is not just perfect.

Id imagine Varane would do something similar and with Casemiro offering the protection he does it would negate AWB’s positioning issues. He could still be useful if he listens and learns from the new coaching setup

I trust Ten Hag. If he wants to give him 4 more months then sure, and if he wants to sell him and use the money on a new RB then also yes, sure.

You know what. If EtH can coach Rashford to improve to the levels he has, I am confident he can do the same for AWB. If he can, then all the raw materials are there for a fine defender to emerge.

It’s his positioning for me that lets him down. 1 v 1 I can’t think of a better defender
100% agree. He seems to lack the mental quickness, IQ and awareness to be an elite defender... but when it comes to actually making challenges, he's a beast.

Man Utd 3:0 Nottingham Forest
I was very impressed with his forward play tonight

He actually resembled a proper footballer.

This could be the greatest trick ETH has ever pulled...

Think he’s done well, especially for how little he has played this season, no complaints tonight, got forward well.

Decent game from him. I'm okay with him being back up to Dalot for the rest of the season.

Maybe has just put a question in the managers mind of whether he stays or not?

Looks refreshed mentally after a long break. How can we miss you if you don't go away? Encouraging performance

Decent today, but he's played 2 fairly poor teams so I'm incline to still be worried about him starting.

Still should be sold to recoup some of that 50 million and look for a malacia type replacement.

He is a good player who struggled a season where everyone struggled. Not surprised he has come back playing his way back into the team, but I assumed he wasn't given a fair chance. Hopefully he'll continue like this because we've missed him. He is miles better than Dalot.

Nah, that’s completely wrong.

They’re very different players but Dalot has hit levels this season that we haven’t ever seen from AWB.

Good to have some competition for places though. I wouldn’t be getting rid of him just yet.

He wasn’t good defensively today. But it needs to be credited that his forward play was really encouraging

Come off it. AWB barely looks like a footballer half the time. He treats the ball like a hot potato.

Dalot has reached a level under ETH that AWB will never get to in his whole career.

Utterly baffling viewpoint, but I guess that's football for you. You never can tell what someone else's eyes are seeing.

He's done alright the last couple of games though, fair play to him. Never thought I'd see a decent game from again for us.

He was decent today but to say I'm worried by this is an understatement, there is obviously no money for a new right back and I really do not think ETH would play him if there was an option of signing someone.
So we're stuck with him and for the style of football we try to play he will not be the solution, let's all hope someone likes him enough to take him off our hands with a semi decent bid.

If AWB weren't a Manchester United player, I would definitely prefer to watch him at right-back than Dalot. There's is unpredictability in his game that's a bit exciting to see. He isn't a better footballer than Dalot although at their absolute best there isn't actually much between them.

Seen little to suggest that Malacia is a better full back so far. Just don’t understand the relative levels of vitriol.
