A serious look at Mauricio Pochettino

Won what argument? What was the argument about that you think you won?

Anyway, today we are seeing what a counter attacking spurs look like. Son, should have put the nail in the coffin after he was put through.
I know I won. If you doubt it, you'll find it I'm sure.

total shite can we never see this again please.

, It is incredibly risky, but at least the result is still 0-0 at half time. Dortmund has 45 min to get 3. If that happens, this will be one of the worst collapse in football that I have seen . I don’t believe Kane is suited for counter attacking either. He seems non-existent and doesn’t try to run behind their defenders. Might have well dropped him for Lucas or an attacker who is willing to run behind their defense. Kane hold play, hasn’t been that great either, which is unusually. That should have at least lessen the pressure, but it is not happening either.

And as I typed this Kane scores . Exactly what a great players does. Well, congratulations you are in the quarter finals.

Beaten a strong Dortmund team at their home would be a great accomplishment.

 ok, you can believe so.
That is very graceful of you to allow me to believe that, you are a humble poster here and I commend you. Congratulations on the success of your son, good luck in the CL.

Would you mind clearing something up? Oh, thanks.

Are you a United fan, a Spurs fan, a Pochettino fan or combination of the three?

United fan. I just support good managers and Pochettino is one of those that has caught my attention. If Ole continues to do well over mutiple season, I will put support Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in my tag instead.

You're a United fan, surely you support Ole regardless?

Mind games. Make the other team think you're not prepared.

But if you are a Pochettino fan then you are a Spurs fan by extension.

So you are, essentially, a combination of the three. Which is surely a first for Redcafe.

What kind of fan supports a rival manager? That's very odd.

Don't think this is true. There are a lot of managers I'm fond and a 'fan' of, but wouldn't see myself as a fan of the teams they manage.

Although, @Amadaeus does seem to have a bit of a crush on our man .. in fairness he is looking pretty fly this season.

Can you be a United fan with a raging hard on for Pochettino? Surely there's a conflict of interests every time we play Tottenham, which we saw a few weeks back. You were apologetic for our win as if it had blown your chances of eloping with Pochettino and living happily ever after.

Anyway, forget about it, he isn't joining us. Madrid will sack Scolari soon and they'll offer Pochettino the job, then you'll have to support Madrid instead.

Thought he looked a little chubby myself but that's probably me being picky.

If you're a supporter of a Pochettino, like @Amadaeus claims to be, then you automatically want him to win games, but in order for that to happen, you need the team he manages to win on the pitch first. Which by my calculations makes you a Spurs fan. I think

The guy is a Spurs fan and he doesn't even know it. Yet another Redcafe first.

If I was a spurs fan, I would be watching all their games religiously like I do with United. Moreover, know about their academy product, stadium plan, financial, and so on. I don’t follow any of that, unless I m force to in a debate.

A fan, that admire the managerial aspect of football.

It is like saying every fan who plays fantasy football has a conflict of interest when they captain a player for their fantasy team against the team they support. It doesn’t work like that. I can admire Pochettino and still support United, similar to having Salah in my fantasy team and still support United when we play Liverpool.

Anyway, another fantastic result by Pochettino. It is hard to imagine any other team would have beaten Dortmund 4-0 on aggregate. If they keep their defense as solid as they did today, they could be the Croatia of this competition.

Poch would have been better being eliminated at this stage. The closer he gets to the final, the bigger the bottler accusations will be when he inevitably doesn't win the competition. He needs to start following the logic that you can't bottle anything if you're too shit to get anywhere near winning it in the first place.

@Amadaeus joined RedCafe in 2013, the year Pochettino came to England and joined Southampton.

Coincidence? I think not.

@Amadaeus created his Redcafe account only 3 minutes after Pochettino was officially announced as Spurs manager? That is very suspicious.

Good work.

This is exactly what a person would say if they wished for their true identity to remain hidden. You're either a Spurs fan or Mauricio Pochettino himself. Or both.

As per the bolding, are you saying that you think Spurs beat Dortmund 4-0, but Barcelona wouldn't.

That's preposterous buddy. It shines a light on how biased towards Poch you are.

Spurs were very structured and organized in their defense. Barcelona may have thrashed them, but to keep a clean sheet in both leg is hard to imagine against a team that is not only top of the Bundesliga but also top their group. Spurs defense was a key part of their success in this fixture.

Pochetinno accomplished?

What has he accomplished?

He has made Spurs more competitive and laid a foundation towards Spurs becoming an elite club, amongst other things. With the current state of football where mid tables team struggles to maintain consistent at a top level, that is an impressive accomplishment.

Those days are gone about united having to win every season. Not in this new day and age of financial giants. Anyway Spurs are doing a great job in the CL and the league. If it's not us I want them to win. Let's hope PL teams advance to the round of 8 although united obviously are out of their depth.

.

Bet you cant create these naratives on united. I doubt you even knew our squad

Poch's comments about his ban are Jose level embarrassing. Surely he's got more self awareness to see that behaving like that was totally out of order? The ban was totally justified.

Deserves more credits for beating Dortmund like that.

Aye, had a tough 45mins in the first leg and a tough 45mins in the 2nd leg and yet still won the tie 4-0 keeping a clean sheet. Impressive result for Tottenham and Pochettino.

They really need to find some form in the league though and really do need Alli back pronto.

Would've gotten more coverage had it not been for two of the most unlikeliest CL results in the last five years.

When and where would you like me to give you a blowjob, Mr. Perez?

He's blatantly indicating that he'll take Kane with him, too. Part of me is pissed because he didn't say half of those things when the United links appeared - painful reminder that when Madrid come calling, everyone goes.

Not everyone. Would like to see them try turn the head of not just Ole but any of our legends if United has the equivalent on offer

He's not going to RM this summer any more than he was ever going to United.

Except Ole. He doesn't like blow jobs. He likes full and meaningful relationships.

He's treating spurs like a stepping stone saying he is open to Real Madrid

And also giving them a rough time with no cups by saying the cup is only for ego
