Except they did go down that path. Which begs the question, why didn't these same principles come into effect when they decided to borrow £600 million+ to fund a new stadium, which may or may not see a return on their investment?
Don't be ridiculous. There's a world of difference between borrowing to build a stadium that will surefire boost annual income significantly for decades to come and borrowing money to sign new players in the hope that it will result in a trophy or three.
No one cares about the new stadium except for you and Daniel Levy. It will not impact the decision-making process when Poch decides whether or not he needs to leave the club in order to further his ambitions. While we're on the subject of stadiums, Old Trafford is one the most famous sporting venues in the world. The Bernabeu isn't half-bad either, not to mention the infinitely more appealing climate and culture of which Poch is accustomed to.
Again, don't be ridiculous. There are millions of Spurs fans globally who care very much about the new stadium and realise what a game-changer it is. As for Poch, I can't be bothered responding further when he's clearly already decided to stay and has spoken about winning the league title once we start playing full seasons there. But dream on if you wish.
