80% of Barca fans would sell Fabregas to us for €30M

As long as Woodward doesn't put in silly bids like £25m. Fork out the big money and Barca will sell.
After his performances this season i think £25m is probably his worth. That said if we put down £35m, i think they will sell.

Will Arsenal be back in for him?
They will always be in for him.
Arteta & Rosicky is getting older, Diaby is still crocked and Flamini isn't exactly young either.
That leaves their midfield to Ramsey & Wilshere who have both struggled with injuries (and in Wilshere's case hasn't developed well so far) and Zalalem who is a youngster.
Getting Fabregas will make sense for them, no question about it (for me).

He much more of a sure thing than Ozil, but the Arsenal board will (hopefully) be hesitant to pay a big fee again. It's not something they're usually known for.

That's the only way i'd see them not make a bid. :)

He's better than Ramsey and Wilshere, but is he worth spunking £40m on when you already have those two plus Ozil and Cazorla? Arsene's going to have to make a bloody good case to the board to convince them of that.

In honesty I don't know if he will want to go back there. There is still no guarantee they will be a massive contender for the league and cl next year, even if they win the fa cup and he seemed pretty desperate to leave last time. I don't buy this whole going back to barca stuff either. I remember reading two interviews over the years where he said he would go to real Madrid and ac Milan and that his parents (who are big barca fans) wouldn't mind if he went to Madrid. Obviously there is no chance he will go to Madrid now, but I doubt he would go back to arsenal. Id say he would rather his current situation than that. Personally I think he will stay at barca, but for me united with the right manager and if they convince him of their project could get him, that is if barca are really considering to sell him. You must remember they will have a new manager too and he might want to keep fabregas

Arsenal definitely high sell on clause.....so either United are gonna be paying them a nice sum, or they can him for a nice sum less.

As much i like Fabregas, i think i would prefer Kroos, cant see us getting both though.

He'd be a terrific signing. He has the skill, versatility, and verve to walk into the first team. But, I say no dice on this one.

I don't he'd leave Barcelona just yet. Even if he did, no way they'd let him go to United for a mere €30m after last summer and the glaring holes in the squad. No way. That'd be a pittance given United's scale, needs, and market conditions.

Besides, he's a good age to help them with the midfield transition. He has all the attributes to be a Barcelona first teamer.

If - if- they let him go for €30m, it's not a choice between him and Kroos.

Kroos is not coming. The club doesn't want to sell, and the player wants to stay. Pretty much like how it was with Fabregas last year.

Fabregas is only a possibility this year because the club seems to be willing to sell because he hasn't been performing well for them.

Would you give Chicharito to Arsenal(they have the buy-back clause) if that is needed to get Fabregas? I would.
In a heartbeat. The club becomes before players for me, and we need a midfield. He's going to end up leaving eventually, so might as well get money for him.

30m euros will surely not be enough, but United can definitely offer more than that, and many at Barcelona are seriously considering selling him, if one judges by the several articles in both sport and mundodeportivo either implying, or explicitly demanding for his sale.

From a United perspective, I think he would be a perfect signing. He would excel with the extra freedom afforded to him by United's fast-paced style of play, and the more physical targets he would have to serve up-front. English teams also tend to leave more gaps between the lines and that is where Cesc causes havoc with his excellent balls.

From a Barcelona perspective, I would say that it's not at all inconceivable that he could take over the CM position of the great (but now sadly finished) Xavi, but that would obviously require at least a slight change in the style of play, something which will not only be required for Cesc, but is fast becoming a necessity for the team as a whole that has stagnated/declined in the past 3 years. The way I can imagine Cesc being sold to an EPL club, is if Arturo Vidal is brought in. If that ll be the case, then the sale of Cesc could be justified. This is not a far-fetched scenario at all I think.

I'm not prepared to fall in love with the idea of Fabregas joining United. Anything can happen, but it seems much more likely that he would go back to Arsenal than to join us. But if Wenger is to go, which seems to be a real possibility, maybe this is a go.

Don't bet money you can't afford to lose on this actually happening.
