Antohan, you are a bit scared of facing my team isn't it? ;)

I'm playing Brwned or Rood, I would only meet you in the final.

FWIW, I think Snow or Cling Bak will beat either of you and make the final.

This is not bad for me actually, you probably don't need Ronaldo as much as you need Cafu and the really scary prospect is Snow getting to the final with Ronaldo upfront. Can't see what I can possibly pick on the way that trumps that.

TBH, it looks to me the only major improvement I could make up to the final is having picked Nesta in the group stage, which is a bit shit seeing how significantly other teams have improved.

;)

I don't mind a re-take if you want it?

Lets not be silly, we've dragged it on long enough. Congrats on being the first winner of a match up despite getting less votes... ;)

This is shite, I missed it too.

Quite deflated and gutted for Dan.

Reckon he's earnt the right to demand a retake, if Zen will be so kind and Cold Boy willing.

No worries Antohan - it had to be decided one way! I think my run would have ended when I came up against you again! Can't see you being beaten

I don't have drastic improvements ahead, that's my worry. I'm standing still while everyone improves, next game I will already be struggling. If I do make it to the final my "major" improvements may be Carlos (only if against Rood as Brwned won't pick him), Guardiola (same, and may require quite a bit of rejigging), Davids (bench Seedorf?), or Rivaldo (bench Forlán? who goes on the right?).

The other path has all the wingers, all I would get in the final is "but, but, the other guy has width!". Like no team in this decade has managed to do well without dedicated wingers...

Dan's been a very good sport here - he should get the Fair Play Award !

Dan's always a good sport. When I called shenanigans and stormed the offices after my 60's defeat to him he never went all uppity against me.
He's having fun, win or lose.
