5th Test Showdown

Another six from Pieterson there! Brilliant stuff, but he needs to stick around for another 10-15 overs.

Having said that, he nearly gets himself caught next ball.

Colliflower's doing a decent job holding the other end up...

Warne gets hit for 10 off that over. Excellent stuff.

175-5 .That's a fifty partnership between Collyflower and KP.

OK... Neighbours is over. Anything interesting happen? Big appeals, big shots, contoversy?

Yep all of those and more. Go and put some money on Collyflower to score the slowest 50 in test match history...

The whole ground and the players are now applauding Richie Benaud, who retires after this match.

Colly is proving the selectors right. He's doing exactly what is needed of him stay there block the ball eat up the overs.

How many overs were schedualed for today. Cricinfo says there are still 62 to bowl, at this rate that will be midnight

That's 10 wickets for the match for Warne. How many times has he done that?

More importantly, what are the Aussies going to do without him?

If these two attack like they usually do then either we'll lose another wicket very quickly or get a quick 50-60 runs.

Let's hope it's the runs then!

All the overs will be bowled since its upto Batting side to come off and fielding side has no power and aussies will keep on batting till the last bowl is bowled.
I still remember English batting in almost picth dark, chasing 160 odd against Pakistan to win the series.

I think they can carry on playing till 7 today, light permitting.

He stayed around for a long time. Time not runs is critical

Disagree. England can win this still. It could all go pear-shaped if they start playing negatively now. After all they got themselves into this position by playing positive cricket and they shouldn't cahnge that now.

Mind you, I won't be complaining if they block out every ball of the 60-odd overs that are left!

Not all that often. Over the years he's had to compete with both McGrath and Gillespie for the wickets.

You can sense the Aussies are getting a bit desperate now. They were just about to put Tait on to bowl then until McGrath took the ball for one last over.

That's his 10th 10 wicket match haul.

That's some performance.

I'm going to miss not seeing him bowl again.
