5th Test Showdown

And now we miss having 5 bowlers.....

45 for 0

Can we chuck the ball to Warne yet?

He's batting well Langer. His mate Hayden on the other hand has made 16 of 70 balls.

Nah it's not. I'm about 5 miles from the Oval and it looks fine to me

damn. :(

richie has just said its clouding over and storms are forecast

its starting to rain..

which oval are you near? the one in the windies :D

 Greg Matthews in a quality piece of punditry recalling facing Curtly Ambrose in terrible light at Guyana.

'The only thing you could see was the whites of his eyes....'

Oh dear.

 I noticed that one as well.

We are in Australia so I guess we shouldn't be suprised.

People rip the piss out of me mercilessly at my cricket and footy clubs and I ain't even a proper black.

Amusingly un-PC country.

why have the aussies took the light?

thats madness

It's feckin bizzare isn't it? I have no idea what the rationale here is.

The last time I saw Anderson in a test was in the tour of SA I think. He was really, really bad. Collingwood still the better choice for me.

That's the worst I've ever seen him play. He's quite a lot better than that.

Still Collingwood was the safer choice, imagine if he bowled like that against the Aussies. It would be like England having a Gillespie. I also think Collingwoods bowling is underrated.

The King of Spain is giving Ponting quite some trouble by pitching it on an awkward length and forcing him into two minds about whether to come forward. Could be a wicket soon.

Its over, theres no way there will be a result with all that rain.

You'd think they'd get a bloody run along and try and force a result wouldn't you?

Who won?

Who's winning?

Who's likely to win?

When is it over?

1. No One

2. No one

3.As it stands Australia. But who knows

4.Sometime into the future.

England were very unlucky today, catches were just out of the reach of fielders and the decisions went the Aussies way. Saying that, for most of the series it has been the other way round.

The Aussies are gonna try bat once and then go for the win, if there is no more rain its gonna be interesting seeing England face Warne on day five.

What's the weather forcast for tomorrow?

BBC said cloudy, ITV said rain at times...

Sky are reporting that the forecast is "better". Great in depth reporting yet again.

I think they might have mentioned that the rain was "wet" as well.

To be fair with the un-PC people I know (and I emphasise I feel it's just being un-PC without any racial malice) in England it doesn't matter if you're sub-continental asian, oriental, proper black etc. Just the fact you're not white is enough for the un-PC jokes. All us non-caucasians in my group of mates get it. Quite amusing! :D

On the BBC website it said "light showers" last time I checked. Here's hoping for a "heavy monsoon"! :D

It absolutly tipped it down in Sheffield today. If it had been raining as much at The Oval there would have been no play. Infact it was so heavy I think it's fair to say that if it had rained like that for just the first few hours they'd have called play off for the day. The storm chose totally the wrong place to go.
