Film 28 Years Later

'28 Years Later' was filmed on an iPhone 15 Pro Max making history as the largest movie ever filmed using a smartphone. Principal photography began on May 7, 2024, in Northumberland, with Anthony Dod Mantle as the cinematographer. Filming wrapped on July 29. The film was shot using an iPhone 15 Pro Max. However, this was aided by many different, expensive attachments, very similar to what Apple did with the introduction of the iPhone 15 Pro Max (in the launching event Apple utilized a $20,000 rig paired with the iPhone 15 Pro Max). Hence, Danny Boyle joins top-notch directors who use smartphones to shoot expensive movies.

Why do I feel like the only who doesn't get erect for media centered around zombies/undead/infected? Be it tv shows, games or movies the concept just does nothing for me

Probably because it’s a genre that’s been done to death and requires something new and fresh to interest people.

28 Days Later did bring something new and fresh when it came out, as the zombies weren’t actually zombies, and more like rabid feral humans who didn’t really do the zombie tropes Romero popularised and people had become accustomed to.

The challenge for 28 Years Later is to bring something new again, because there’s been similar stuff that has since come out like Walking Dead and Last of Us, who were influenced by 28 Days later. The theme of the new movie is how the rage virus has evolved and maybe (hopefully) there’s a meta meaning behind it, and the zombie genre which mutated/evovled through 28 Days Later to something different again in 28 Years Later.

I have faith in Boyle and Garland that they'll offer us something fresh and interesting.

Hopefully it will be fun but dull stuff so far from the trailers.

Looks like every zombie/post apocalypse movie of the last 20 years mushed together.

Yer man Aaron Taylor Johnson sucks all expectations I have out of a film when he’s in it. He’s the English Jared Leto

Same level of intrigue as with the initial trailer except they let those scene snippets go longer and/or add limited dialogue onto it.

That giant infected with the soldiers gave me Aliens vibes, which is ironic considering Boyle dropped out of making Alien 4 about 30 years ago.

FAO anyone who hasn't watched the latest trailer yet. Don't. It's a much less good version of the original one, with a few probable spoilers baked in for good measure.

That initial trailer was spectacular and has already brought the hype. I'm trying to steer well clear of anything else related to this until it comes out.
