Ohio has become dead for the Dems ever since they redrew the lines to make gerrymandering even worse and their election board and courts happily went along with if. It is so ridiculous when you consider its also the most urban state in the nation. IMHO the most egregious example of how fecked politics in this country can be.

How is gerrymandering affecting the EC elections or governor?

Republicans have flipped 2 senate seats as well.. Not just Harris struggling.

Just shows how bad the democrats have been in this election. Firstly backing Biden when it was clear he wasn't up for it, and then having him drop out so late that they were forced into trying to shoe horn Harris in due to the lack of time to have a proper selection process. With all of Trump's issues, surely if they had just put forward a better candidate you can beat him.

The whole mess with Israel hasn't helped them either.
Ok but honestly when you bring the candidate that is Donald Trump into this equation, you’re basically saying that for a possible majority of voting Americans, Democrats need to give away new spotless Porsche to convince said voting Americans to not instead take a clapped out 1994 Ford Fiesta with an oil leak, old tires, and bent frame.

When the current government is awful, many people will either not vote at all or vote against them.

When will people start to understand this basic principle of democracy?

All the whining over Trump that came before and will come on the future should he win is aimed at the wrong person, you can't change Trump, he's insane. Aim it towards the useless fecks looking like they're about to lose to him for the second time. What mistakes have they made very the past 4 years that have allowed him back in? That's where the anger should be directed.

Trump doing a lot better than expected in NY.
People clearly not happy with the Democrats.

John King perfectly explaining she is UNDERperforming PA in counties that Biden won in 2020. Not the end of the world but Biden won by 80k. If she is going to win PA it’s going to much much smaller. Maybe 10-15k votes.

.
That's not democracy, that's some odd version of a tag team creating the illusion of democracy.

They’ve literally caught blame because they existed in office while dealing with the fall out of Trump’s actions in his first term.

Feels like some premature doom mongering here. It’s gonna be tight, tighter than it ever should be but this isn’t over by any stretch.

It literally is though. If you are shit then the public will make sure you know it one way or another.

They'll do the same to Trump in 4 years.

I am a bit shocked that people are shocked about Trump looking like winning. I was completely shocked in 2016. But not this time. It seemed very much on the cards.

WI is NOT looking good. CNN showed votes left and there is a bunch to come from republican counties and he already has a cushion there. The blue wall is closing in on the dems! @WI_Red

Listen to what this guy is saying. DNC has been garbage since Obama left. Attempt to prop unpopular, but "safe" candidates obviously didn't work, and it should not work.

Maybe allowing massive number of illegal migrants into the country wasn’t a good idea after all - Democrats didn’t realize that until it was 3 years in.

I don't think so. Trump is outperforming Harris, mirroring his 2016 numbers. We are fecked.
Agreed that is what's concerning me. Underperforming where she needs to run it up. I am not surprised at a tight race. It's the underperforming.

This optimism is about to end in like 20 minutes. No joke. More swing states votes coming in by midnight.

With all due respect, that's the go to excuse for every political party around the world. Labour claim they're cleaning up the Tories mess right now while the Tories said exactly the same on 2010. Trump in 2016 was fixing Obamas mess, Obama fixing Bushs and so on.

It's mostly nonsense

no. its a done deal now going by the blue wall states and the numbers plus her underperforming (the vote centers left, even as they go for Harris, are not going to swing it). it's about when she concedes now tbh

I am at a loss for words. 2020 and 2022 were huge wins (except for Johnson) for Dems. I guess I was wrong in trying to explain away Johnson win as an outlier. Apparently my former states residents really are racist fecks.

Look at the map of the three to four states that count. Trump leads them all and Harris is underperforming Biden by 3-5 points in the areas which they rely on meaning the lead is insurmountable barring a once in a million event.

I'm watching CNN. They've now starting doing the usual postmortem on the campaign tactics. Tells you all you need to know.

Any of the "things can change" or "it's not over yet" comments, given the board and calculus, where Trump needs only one of the three northerns, is just to hook viewership.

Boils down to the immigration issue. New York has become the dumping ground because some states don't agree with how immigrants are handled. It was good tactic to send them all here.
