If I was American I'd also feel negative about the state of the country. Because of the republicans, among other things.
Exactly. Impossible to feel positive about a country where there is a 50% chance fascists take over power.

The whole Melania bit is good value, tbf. She just walks around as First Lady, looking absolutely fecked off to have to even share the same planet as this massive, ginger, day-glo toddler and everyone is like “Yeah, cool cool cool, that checks out”.

I’m thoroughly disapppinted by how little we have learnt from these exit polls. Pathetic.
They are literally designed so the experts of cable news are the only ones able to explain the significance of them. Between 7 minute long commercial breaks.

There's so many things about Trump that if it was any other politician would be huge scandals but because it's him it gets ignored because there's always a bigger scandal involving him to focus on.

But him and Melania together is so fecking bizarre. She never looks at him, she almost never touches him, she doesn't speak or smile. It's so weird.

The exit poll I see on Fox, which is an interesting set up if anyone is channel hopping, asks about concern regarding food and gas. 91% (AP poll, not just a Fox News thing) are very concerned over the cost of food and >70% over the cost of gas.

Usually, this would mean the incumbent is toast (Carter to Reagan style). But Harris is not Biden. And nor do these "exit polls" tell you which solution, of the two majors on the ballot, people see as the solution to these problems. Without this nuance ("and, who are you voting for?") the exit poll is basically trash.

Democracy is the biggest issue
What if 15% of those who express that think Trump is the answer. That's the infuriating part of these "exit polls". They do not give me an indication of what the people surveyed are going to do with their opinions re vote choice.

Really want to go to sleep but also want to follow results live from the biggest collective IQ test in history.

I think Trump would claim cheating even if he isn't worried about losing because he's got soup for brains

I am not saying that all will be voting for Harris, but it's a big number and Harris will win more than half of those 36%. How much? We will see.

Win or lose, Trump frightens people, and since his rise 10 years ago, I vote on this very issue.

Yeah, his words means nothing, he claimed voter fraud in 2016, even when he won, simply because he was so butthurt over California not giving him the popular vote.

Even launched an investigation into it, and the result of that investigation he threw into the trash, never revealed.

No, I'm not saying that isn't an anti-Trump stat I'm just saying that if these polls included "and which candidate best solves these concerns for you" as a necessary option then you would have a genuinely useful exit poll. Something you could actually read.
