2022 US Elections

This can't happen, right? This is going to be Lucy pulling the football and I am not going to fall for it.

1% behind with 5% of the vote left, so she’s needs 81% of the outstanding votes?

I've been thinking about it, and I don't think there's anything that Boebert can say in her next tweet that won't give me an intense orgasm.

I hope she describes your mother giving your father a handjob.

How do people expect the Georgia run off to go? Walker somehow managed to be less than 1% down on Warnock, but Oliver and his 2.1% of the vote is a libertarian, so so we think those voters will fall to Walker?

It’s honestly amazing that 1.9m people voted for that absolute idiot.

Love the comments on r/conservative.

It was clearly a year Republicans should’ve won. I think we have some real soul searching to do. We’ve become the party of no. Instead of looking at democrat policies and explaining how we can do better, we just oppose everything and tell the country they’re bad. Instead of putting up good candidates with appeal to the middle, we are putting up guys like Mehmet Oz and Herschel Walker. Also, the whole no abortion under any circumstances is a no go for a good portion of the country.
Tonight was the final straw for me, trump gloating at a Republican losing did me in. I knew trump was a pretty crappy human being but i at least thought he was more concerned about the nation doing better. His ego has gotten to the point I can’t overlook it anymore.
Calling this a “trickle” is an understatement.

Look at the historical stats of what happens in midterms to the incumbent party. Typically the incumbent gets crushed. Clearly not the case today, at all.

GOP massively underperformed and the way things are going now it will go down as one of the worst performances for them in decades. Facts

Yet you are still somehow blissfully unaware of right wing vitriol.

I literally said I mostly follow The View, MSNBC, CNN, TYT, The Hill, ET Canada due to my algorithm. so yes I would probably need you to post some of their vitriolic statements for comparison. Just a few examples would probably suffice. My initial response was to a video which I thought was just your typical
To better engage with you I was wondering if you could let me know where you hail from. It sounds like you may not be from the US, but if so, it would be great to know so as not to sound condescending in my replies.
I live in Olympia Fields, IL. go wild. I'm heading to the gymnasium so don't expect quick response

Do we think Biden runs in 2024?

He will be 82 at the next election. Problem is the alternative is Harris who looks out of her depth and has been one of the most underwhelming VP's in recent decades.

No chance. Harris won't win the nomination either, or they're in big trouble. I've no idea who else it's going to be, but it has to someone else.

I mean Jan 6th was literally all about MAGA being mad millions of black peoples votes in PA, Michigan, Georgia didn't get tossed out by Pence. Then they spent every day since then talking about conspiracies and shenanigans they didn't dare repeat in any court. Vitriol for days.

Has to be Newsom. His track record in CA (in a budget surplus), his ability to talk (from the little I've seen he seems to be almost Obama good with words) and his look is probably the most promising option short of the way to young at this point progressive dems. Harris just comes across unlikable like Hillary, plus she hasn't really done anything of note since grilling GOP members in front of congress during the early Trump years.

Big question is whether Kimberly Guilfoyle has any dirt on him.

Now that Whitmer consolidating her position in Michigan, I say she's worth a good shout.

Newsom is known quantity after securing a budget surplus for California. He can definitely reach younger voters and is excellent at triggering the other side if he has to.

Pete Buttigieg is definitely the most well-liked cabinet member in the Biden administration. His name will come up again if the party believes more in the need for a moderate-sounding voice although his line of actions could be more progressive just like Biden's approach.

I say the next DNC presidential candidate other than Biden will be one of them.

I would expect Warnock to win

Mainly because the libertarian wouldn’t be running, and also because R turnout would be reduced because Kemp wouldn’t be running on the same day.

Also, Walker’s brand has taken a hit because he’s a Trump guy and nearly all of Trump’s other endorsed candidates across the country lost, and there’s now a growing movement to shift to DeSantis.

These literally came up first on a ‘right wing vitriol’ search. ‘Left wing vitriol’ doesn’t pull anything up.

The level of vitriol espoused in the quotes you offered from left wingers pales in comparison to that of right wingers. You seem to have a very delineated grievance zone, which is totally fine, but it seems to cloud your judgement in regards to statements made regarding it. You allude to the fact that these are the more tepid left wing grievances, I would like to see what you consider more vehement examples.

Bechloss is doing nothing wrong there, he’s a historian trained to find parallels in history. A tad hyperbolic, perhaps, but the girding of his reasoning is very solid.

If I knew we were talking far right I would have agreed from the start. I don't even acknowledge them as they don't deserve a platform and I refuse to engage with them. I saw Richard Spencer get owned on Roland Martin and see these types as fringe and extremist elements of society that sometimes get deplatformed. Initially I thought we were talking more mainstream or serious politicians. Could throw David Duke in there in that case. I will look at the other links when im home

There’s both right & far right examples. Both espouse much the same ideology. Far righters have subsumed most of the conservative zeitgeist & have pushed much of the moderate cons out of the party / viewpoint. That’s why there’s so much vitriol. Fox News is not comparable to MSNBC regarding vitriol in number or intensity, the two can barely be compared in that regard.

I've seen it used ubiquitously on the left and right online. Just like "woke", internet culture language disintegrates into meaningless very quickly.
Technically can be used by both yes, but very rarely have I seen it used by the left unless jokingly. Because it's usually used when someone says something controversial and against mainstream, for example, jews control the media, or something that alludes to that. So kinda like cool in the rebellious way I suppose.
