Just can’t believe this. He doesn’t seem to have the brain trust like he did in 2016. Who is his Bannon, who is this election’s guru? For as horrible a president he has been, one has to give him & his team credit for eking out the last election by whatever means possible. There was a certain genius to his campaign in 2016. Just don’t see the same collective intelligence this time around.

I think Trump is just winging it this time. He may occasionally take advice from the likes of Limbaugh, Hannity et al. but there's no guiding principle this time as there was during 2016's drain the swamp, populism. Bannon and Parscale, two key people from 2016, were recently arrested.

Yep. It just seems like shit’s being hurled against the wall to see what sticks at this point. If he loses, undoubtedly all of his minions will turn on him & queue up to write tell-all books about the last few months of his presidency. It will be interesting to hear how unhinged he really was & how much stupid shit (like the cosplay) was actually kept from happening.

Think he kicked them all out to be replaced with sycophants. Only Miller and Hicks surviving I guess. Perfect storms don't happen twice!!

I would pay box office $$$ to see Trump cosplay Clark Kent in any forum. Where do I sign, goddamnit.

I bet he wanted the S on the front of the costume to be changed to a T.

Cant believe i am even saying this but the presidential race seems dead. Its almost a certainty Biden wins and even GOP operatives are privately briefing the media that they will lose the presidency.

Sure looks that way. 10.4% avg lead in the national polls and ahead in all the battleground states he needs.

I just walked to my local coffee shop. I live in an 50/50 area where usually the republicans are more vocal and likely to put out signs. There is not a single Trump sign anywhere. Biden signs are everywhere, it exploded after the debate. I don’t know if it is being reflected everywhere. The one Trumper took his sign down. Outside of driving through Pasco county the only Trump sign I have seen was on a rich guys boat.
Anecdotal, but it feels different this time.

Biden is in a strong position but the Dems would be wise to not start gleefully high fiving eachother. The reality is that Biden is going to have to win fairly convincingly on election night for Trump to concede and not drag things through litigation for weeks/months, especially given the fact that most of Trump's votes will be counted on November 3rd, whereas a sizeable chunk of Biden's may not get fully counted until a few days after the election, which may make it initially appear that Trump won (or is very close to Biden), at which point he will start litigating to cancel out mail in ballots. That's the doomsday scenario, but Dems need to keep their eye on the ball and pretend they are behind instead of order new curtains for the Oval.

Forget new curtains, they need to fumigate the entire fecking place!

Biden could possibly end up with 334 electoral college votes at this stage, I think we all just have that sinking feeling that after 2016, anything could happen. Refreshing to see Biden odds on to win Florida, would be a huge win.

The UN really should send election monitors to that banana republic.

He'll litigate either way. I don't think he'll have the support within the GOP to take it too far though. It could well be a play for a Biden pardon. Though I suspect he’s gonna pardon himself. I don’t think it’s possible for Biden to win on the night.

I'd be far more concerned about civil unrest and the lame duck period (And the potential fecking about he could do with the secret service detail and main justice.)

334 is kinda pessimistic at this point.

Tinpot dictatorship, it really is astounding the level of cognitive dissonance people will display to defend this stuff.
no, it is somebody using the powers they were given while the other side cedes them

I spent way too long last night doing up some maps, this is what I settled on.

Haven't noticed much in the South Tampa area either. I'm outside Fort Worth visiting family at the moment and there are Trump signs/placards all over the fecking place.

This is how the Trump presidency will cause chaos for decades, these court levels that will continuously affect our lives detrimentally.

It's a TRO against Abbotts order of 1 drop box per county (a good judgment/ "pro biden" one might say). I'm sure they will be conservative feckers, but in this case they did good.

In the case of a landslide [which this is shaping up to be unless things tighten] - I see OH, IA and GA falling. Perhaps even TX and AK. He won't win all, but a few should fall in those circumstances.

After that it gets real tough... KS, SC, MO probably are a step too far.

What are you on about here? Are you saying that abolishing the TRO that prohibited Abbot from enacting a voter suppression tactic was a good thing?

I stand corrected. That’s absolutely fecked up. It’s a stay on the TRO as you say, not the TRO.

how does Abbott keep getting away with this shit?

These images are crazy. In my entire life, it has never taken me more than 30 minutes to vote, from the moment I leave my house to the moment I arrive. At the polling station itself I've never waited more than 5 minutes.

And I think this would be your experience in the US as well depending on where you live. When we lived in Alabama my line was at the most 5-10 minutes, but we lived in a very red district (F-king Gary Palmer, look that asshole up). Just a few miles away, in Teri Sewell's district, which was gerrymandered like you wouldn't believe to include all the AA's they could in one district, the lines were much much longer as there were fewer places to actually vote.

Hes been at it 10 years or more.

Abbott? I though he became governor around 2014/15?

The bigger issue is the Supreme Courts decision in Shelby County v. Holder. When that decision came out I was actually living in Shelby country. If there is any county in Alabama that had less of a reason to feel "burdened" by the VRA I could not tell you what it is. It is like 90% white and a Median family income of $81K ($10K higher than the next county).

The website I'm using to track the election has Biden looking more likely to win Florida than Trump is currently. Is Trump behind there? Seems like he won't be able to win if he loses Florida.

Yeah, if he loses Florida it is over. I don't the a Republican has won without winning Florida in a long (50+???) time.
