I was thinking about that watching that montage. If they really believe that, how will they feel if the Democrats win? I take the point that it's all a power game for them and they don't actually care all that much (but imagine giving that Guilfoyle performance if you don't actually care!); but what about their voters, some of whom might genuinely be buying into all of that? The US will have a lot of seriously disillusioned, scared, and/or angry people on the right if the Democrats win this...
And if Trump wins we will have even more scared people in this country, because four more years of Trump, this time emboldened even more, is terrifying.

Yeah, It's surreal here in WI. We live in a very liberal county/city, but very near a rural county, so the area encompassed by our Neighborhood App (it's one of those community app's where people can sell stuff, post stuff, etc.) is pretty politically diverse. I am seeing posts from "he is black and therefore a criminal so he deserved it" to "defund all the police now". It's like to different universes, and all within a 15 mile radius.

This is full on unapologetic Nationalism with a mafioso styled government. The first election results were seen as a freak aberration with Hillary being part of a perfect storm. Reelection would signal a concrete shift in the fabric of the American mainstream and give Trump a fully legitimized political mandate.

My sister went there for her undergrad. (I went to IU) Beautiful campus. I remember my first day visiting her -- sitting by the porch in the house she rented with friends and sharing some herbs with one of her room-mates.
