Hillary.

What I am happy about though is there is now clear light between Sanders and Warren as who is a true progressive.
As far as conventional Dems go Warren is still quite clearly a progressive though. Whether she'd be as progressive as her campaign touts her to be once in office (like Obama) is another matter but her campaign itself is markedly to the left of most other major candidates.
Should at least bury the idea that women of color don’t like Bernie, which was a bullshit statement to begin with. But what else can you expect from the likes of CNN and NBC?
I agree.
But I am curious about the DNC now pushing Hillary.
I suspect they think Warren cannot win in the GE.
I have a feeling she’d be quick to compromise on her progressiveness before even potentially being in the office of President by trying to appeal to the conservative voting blocks. Not necessarily because I think she’s spineless but because she apparently struggles in the midwestern states that narrowly got Trump elected. Correct me if I’m wrong on that. Compared to Obama though, I think she’ll be better than him.As far as conventional Dems go Warren is still quite clearly a progressive though. Omar and Tlaib may be helpful in getting Arab or Muslim women more interested in Sanders, but that is of course a tiny sliver of Dem voters in progressive circles. Biden is currently mopping up with black voters, which is the reason everyone else is finding it so hard to gain any traction. These are largely Obama voters who aren't particularly interested in the rigidly inflexible set of policies Democratic socialists are offering up. That's who Sanders needs to affect if he wants to make his move.
I didn't realize the DNC issued a statement that they are pushing Hillary.

I mean... you’re not wrong about this. It just bamboozles me that it’s like that especially in the South, which is least helpful demographic overall. A lot of these people endured the 60s and Civil Rights era, seeing their own kind get abused by police, watching the Black Panthers get targeted, and seeing MLK get assassinated. What would these same voters think of the choice between Sanders and Biden if it was their 60s/70s selves? It’s almost as if they’ve gone soft these days.Omar and Tlaib may be helpful in getting Arab or Muslim women more interested in Sanders, but that is of course a tiny sliver of Dem voters in progressive circles. They don’t need to release a statement. It’s not unreasonable to deduce that the Dem establishment loves Hillary Clinton. It’s not like she’s entertaining on running this year on her own accord. I bet she’s getting a lot of influence to test out her name again.I didn't realize the DNC issued a statement that they are pushing Hillary.

Which is why I said the South are not helpful. Big players in deciding the Dem nominee but absolutely worthless in the general. And the South tend to like more conservative candidates.Biden can win the nomination with the Southern States. But he has his baggage. If Trump cuts the deal for a pardon from Pence, it will be a different ball game.

Oh the irony.I would imagine many Dems feel she got shafted in 16 and would, in the absence of any strong Dem candidates this cycle, like to see her run again, but that’s more out of nostalgia than reality.
Again, you’re not wrong in the observations. But you’d think they’d learn their lesson after how many years of the “white man” playing them for their votes and support. Hell, even the black men play them for their votes. The issue for Sanders is he frames his policies through the prism of class whereas most of the southern black voters he needs tend to look at things through culture and identity. Until that bridge is gapped, Sanders will continue to underperform in an area he needs to excel in to win the nomination.
Joni Ernst, Republican senator from Ohio. Warren co sponsored it though if I'm reading it correctly. What's this from? Biden?
His policies can be considered to be to the right of Angela Merkel, who is considered center right. Left and right from US to Europe have totally different meanings. The aggregate opinions of people do matter when defining political ideologies within the context of their time and place.
I’ve seen Bernie called ‘center-left at best’ on here...fecking hell.
I would love to hear the people polled talked about why Biden Healthcare plan is the best.
Aka boomers and gen xers who’ve been brainwashed by anti left rhetoric for decades and are too thick to realize we’ve been having tax funded insurance for the military (Tricare) for said decades. Even more ironic how Tricare covers just about everything, is cheaper, and is the best insurance on the market. I wonder if these same people were also cool with their reps voting for defense budget increases...These are probably people who think losing their insurance would be detrimental, or that Sanders wants to tax them more. Just goes to show that the value proposition of Medicare For All isn’t quite reaching the audiences required to move the needle.
Maybe they are in favour of finally curing cancer! These are probably people who think losing their insurance would be detrimental, or that Sanders wants to tax them more. Just goes to show that the value proposition of Medicare For All isn’t quite reaching the audiences required to move the needle.

But yeah I would agree. Biden really is the fall back view of lets go back to 2008 again. Although also I wouldn't write off simple name recognition. People think Biden and Bernie(Bernie on healthcare is within the margin of error)have the best plans because they are the most well known. If Oprah ran for president then there is the quite sad possibility that people would think her healthcare plans is also the best.
