He could not do anything else. It is a major story.
But he is hardly a realistic candidate.
And on policies he is not where the party is. It was a fight to move left. Nuanced arguments about when was all we heard. Bernie is there waiting with Warren pretty close.

The Midwest is a different place 2020 compared to 2008 and 2012.
WI, MN and OH especially ...immigration is high on lists of concerns.
Where the DNC is about immigration is not where these states are.
MN will come through because of the two huge counties. It will be harder in WI. OH is Trump country. Only Bernie has a good chance there because he simply speaks to the truth without hedging.

People do not come out and say it.
But him being homosexual will be a factor with African Americans and older voters I believe.
Once again he has zero chance in the Rust belt.
They are as far away from Mexico as can be. Don't they realize they have other real problems? Immigration is not the reason why plants shut down and replace workers with robots.

Pete talks very well with his articulate, soothing voice. He has basically talked his way into contention and I don't suspect that will slow down. The more people see of him, the greater the chance of him rising in the polls.
He literally has 0% support among black people.
Hes Tommy Carcetti and anyone who supports him is making it clear what their agenda is.
The majority of his state is agricultural, but South Bend is smack in the middle of the Rust Belt.

Only one winner in the debates
No Democratic nominee can win without the African American vote, much less the GE.
Besides he does not have any policies that addresses their needs.
I’m looking forward to seeing them debate when 75% of the field has finally realized they don’t have a shot.

I'm liking Warren more and more.
I agree with this. He can’t win the nomination. What he can do though is position himself for a position in a Democratic administration with his work in South Bend’s economy.
That wont happen unless they run out of money. Even if they don't win, a lot of the minor candidates are benefiting from the exposure and may be in line for future cabinet jobs depending on how they present themselves here.

I'm ok with Tulsi with her 'no war' mantra carrying on and Yang with his UBI bullshit, but I think Beto and Klobuchar should run for some time so that he can get some exposure and do something useful with their own states. If she's relying on small donors and not bundlers or PACs how would she have rewarded "wealthy donors" with jobs? $2700 is the maximum and I am confident she would get that a few thousand times if she was the general election candidate.

Her point is wealthy donors won't be given ambassadorial jobs and deserving candidates would. Maybe she won't have wealthy donors or maybe she'll change her mind about it later. Once she becomes president, maybe people will donate money to her inauguration campaigns. Or she may start a charity and people would give money there expecting handouts. But why do you need to bitch about this just because she may not wealthy donors?
She could still have wealthy donors even if the average donation is small.
Same as Bernie.
