This fella on CNN who keeps asking himself questions and then answering them is doing my nut in. Why? Because I've noticed it too often and now I can't stop noticing it.
You’ve clearly never seen East Texas.Texas, Arizona and New Mexico are pretty much the same thing - so they're now one State called Big Texas.
so she was never hot
Not saying it, I would never say that verbally. But writing it or typing it, absolutely. Would use it every time & it would be understood nationwide. Understandable how it appears confusing, though.I'll take your word for it but I've never heard anyone without a military past say "seven hundred" for time verbally in my life. But then when I'm in the US I usually don't go south of Ohio.
What’s gold got to do with it?So, I don't know if anyone cares amid the heated time-related debates but the difference in Georgia is down to 18k.
I'm being mostly facetious, but I stand by the fact that Wyoming and 2x Dakota seems utterly pointlessI know the answers to both of our North/South pairs if you really want them

Louisiana is just swamps so it can be a big dock for boats coming in to Big Texas.
Mississippi and Alabama look like a Rorschach drawing of my father drunkenly beating me up when I was a kid.
Georgia, Virginia, Pennsylvania and the Carolinas all have the same last letter so they don't count.
Maryland has barely any Mary's living in it so it's fake news.
I could look at a map for a million years and still not remember where Missouri is. Or care.
What’s gold got to do with it?
And the Pennsylvania rules were specifically prescribed by republicans. There’s nothing ad hoc about this count. It’s just apparently backfiring on them a bit.Finding it incredible how difficult these Republicans are finding the concept of counting.
These states were not allowed to count their mail-in votes until close to election day, hence them all coming in now. The reason they are disproportionately leaned towards the Democrats is because their voters tend to take Covid seriously and thus voted by mail. It's really not hard.
There was none of this uproar when the complete opposite happened in Florida and Biden's lead was slowly overtaken.
Do I let stuff like that get to me? No, not normally until it's pointed out. This fella on CNN who keeps asking himself questions and then answering them is doing my nut in. Why? Because I've noticed it too often and now I can't stop noticing it.
So speed is more important than accuracy and a democracy where everyone’s vote counts?
Who gives a feck about waiting a few days for everyone’s vote to count.
And a “good” reason is that 150,00,000 is a BIG feckING NUMBER TO COUNT.
It does all stem from us at times. And you guys wonder why it's all falling apart...
It’s not 001?Let's count!
1
Am I usually the same? Yes.Do I let stuff like that get to me? No, not normally until it's pointed out.
Is that a fair point? It sure is - it's just a pity I noticed it as it's quite annoying now.Is the guy a dick? Probably, but he's just doing his job.
Still pretty good gold that. Not fake yet.So, I don't know if anyone cares amid the heated time-related debates but the difference in Georgia is down to 18k.

Yes, and being surrounded by them sucksIt's crazy to know so many people have actually voted for Trump and so many believe the BS that he is pedalling
Didn’t know that! I agree every count should be counted, but there's got to be a cut off. Presumably enough votes come in within a couple of days to declare a result regardless of uncounted ballots?

We’ve never experienced a change in the style of voting like this before coupled with the typical increase in overall voting ranks. We should have planned for it better, no doubt, but some of these numbers of ballots & how they arrived were seismically different. They aren't mutually exclusive.
Look at the shit show now over stopping the counts, or continuing the counts. This could all be easily avoided but the system isn't good enough.
I lived there for 4 years unfortunatelyYou’ve clearly never seen East Texas.
If it's about the number of characters, surely you'd drop the zeroes and just write "7P".Not the entire country, but there’s very little chance that an American would say 730P PST isn’t the same as 7:30PM PST. Both mean exactly the same thing here, one is just more shorthand & quicker to write or type. Military time just isn’t used as widely.
It wasn’t a bad idea to play both sides of the equation with the overall gullibility in their ranks.Republicans reaping: Wow this is great
Republicans sowing: Hey what the feck??
Trump's lead in Georgia is now down to just over 18,000 votes.
It appears more clear to many to have the zeros in the time, either with or without a colon. Think of how our alarm clocks reflect the time in the 12 Hour mode, I just use that numeral minus the colon. It’s somewhat common to see the zeros, they aren’t confusing in any way to Americans. If it's about the number of characters, surely you'd drop the zeroes and just write "7P".
The explanation I heard is that the plan was to prevent postal/advanced voting in the potential swing states until election day so that the inevitably high proportion of votes for Biden would be counted last and the resulting massive blue shift could be sold as cheating to Trumps core and used to bolster court attacks.
I'm not confused, I'm just testing the logic. It appears more clear to many to have the zeros in the time, either with or without a colon. It’s upbringing & how we are taught plus familiarity. Toss in perhaps a bit of laziness for not potentially streamlining everything. Logic wouldn’t appear clear to an outsider.I'm not confused, I'm just testing the logic.
It's amazing how, with all the advancements in science and technology, election processes are still done on paper and manually counted by humans. I can't see that changing soon either, but it's hard to believe there hasn't been a way to computerize the process in a secure way.

And after that we are waiting on *at least* 17k from Fulton, and possibly the 7k from Dekalb that was up on the county page but not uploaded on the SOS page (Biden won by about 4k5, could be the one that brought the lead down to current 18k)
And there are about 40k votes left statewide after those two counties are done.
Which is disgusting as it will rile people up, cause more chaos...when it's completely unjustified as there is no evidence presented.I get the feeling Trumps main aim now will be to make sure his supporters all think it’s fraud. Can’t wait to see him booted out.
You have my sympathies.I lived there for 4 years unfortunately
About 200 ballots in Fulton requires curing. The USPS explained that they bypassed normal procedures in order to deliver then on time, that’s why they are shown as missing in the system. They still need to appear before a judge, who’ve ordered a scouring to check for ballots. How many ballots are missing in the mail in GA? Could that affect the situation if they turn up? Or have everyone given up that whole mess allreay?
