2016 US Presidential Elections | Trump Wins

I think Trump would protect Christian values better than Clinton.
I'd probably prefer Trump's choice of judge(s) in Supreme Court.
I think he'd restore a sense of pride in their country to many Americans.
I prefer Trump's views on guns.
I prefer Trump's immigration policy.
I think it would be refreshing to have someone less ensconced in the political theatre to take charge.

I just don't like Clinton and her lying about emails, Bill's history etc. As someone put it, when she smiles she has the look of a crazy grandmother who's put the grand kids in the oven.

What are Christian values?

You don't like Bill's history, presumably you don't mind Trump's?

Not that I believe in it or have any time for religion but that's a pretty stupid question given the fact that there are countless people of faith in the country and yes, it matters a lot to them.

It clearly matters to them but it's a bizarre concept nevertheless: religion should not dictate the running of a state, and people who claim they want their state to be one of freedom and liberty are talking out their arse if they believe it should actually be run on the basis of their religion.

The notion of Trump being a Christian in any way, though, is quite hilarious.

The final result is at 4am gmt, but is there likely to be a clear indication well before that?

If you have to ask you probably don't want to hear the answer.

Nah, go on. I want to hear why a state that's supposed to be based on freedom and liberty and secularism should be based on the restrictive ideals of one religion.

@GlastonSpur hurry up and do that thing you do.

But the question here, even if you are looking to preserve Christian values, is Trump the one to do it?

Thank you for the more considered response than the hordes of keyboard warriors here. An interesting question, yes, and I feel he'd do more to protect the rights of e.g. Christian businesses.

How anyone can say they don't like Hillary for lying and at the same time like Trump is absolutely beyond me.

The bolded bits

The Guardian reporting that some voting machines are switching the entire ballot when a vote is cast for a presidental nominee. It changes the entire ballor apparently. Is it true? Because The Guardian is a credible source.

I don't suppose he has to be in order to protect christian values. It's all about his policies and not what he does.

You're forgetting it's now a matter of public record that Mike Pence will be charge of all policies. Hence, if Trump wins get read for the deportation force to multitask and take all the gays to forced conversion therapy.

That's good. I should be able to stay up til 2am at least.
I read that the results of swing states like Florida, Virginia, Ohio and NC will be announced between 12am and 1am GMT. Also that Trump basically needs to win in almost all of them to stand a chance.

I don't think at this point bashing resident Drumpfkins will do any good. As long as he can live with that vote then it's each to his own.
