2016 US Presidential Elections | Trump Wins

Corrupt in terms of doing this solely or partly to influence the outcome of the election.

This has nothing do with the election or what he thinks about HRC. All about him trying to prove to Chaffetz and Trump Nation he is an honest man. After going thru the evidence and felt it should be further looked at, an empty letter like that at this point makes him sleazy. Just like most republicans I know.

Him being republican has nothing to do with the GOP reaction. Now as a republican he cares less about optics but all about maintaining his sleaziness. That is the meaning of my post.

I wasn't asking for a dictionary definition. So for a fact I know you won't understand my reasoning..a most basic question I asked, you could not figure out what I meant.

So when he finds in favor of HRC him being a Republican is no big deal to you, only when he does something you don't like, then suddenly him being a Republican is a big issue and he becomes "sleazy." Trying to portray him as some sort of GOP operative falls a little flat and really is a bit silly given his carrying out of the investigation and it's finding so far.

Did you watch Welcome To Trumpland that I linked a couple of pages ago mate? It's well worth a watch, unfortunately I linked it just as all this email stuff was kicking off so I fear it may have been missed. Amazing copy and on YouTube too. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I saw your post but wasn't in a position to watch a video at the time, and to be honest I'm not really in the mood for watching something like that now. I'll give it a look at some point though for sure.

How will this affect the election? Clinton Losing 2-3 points will make the race dead heat, no?

It's her rating in the swing states that counts. Keep an eye on those polls. The solid states aren't going to budge.

@Americano do you ever talk policies? At some point the character assassination and conspiracy walls have to come down. This is not a hustle, so should be discussed in the right way.
This is the type of politics you see in third world countries. Won't it be nice if you can update us on Trump policies rather than smearing Clinton a person you know basically know nothing about.

Not defending Americano, just thought this was an interesting post from a while back.

I completely understand that, I'm so glad I watched it before, I wouldn't want to watch it now either, kind of like the wind has been taken out of my sails so to speak. I'd definitely recommend watching it though, I thought it was exceptionally well done by MM, and clever too. It does highlight the importance of it all though and after recent events, well, it would be a lot scarier and more depressing for sure.

Apparently the feds found the emails after investigating a story run by the Daily Mail about this underage sexting.

Yes mate, but the Weiner scandal dominated the news. I can't believe you missed it tbh, you're normally on the ball with current events.

Maybe, could all depend on where she loses any support, IF she loses any at all. And where that support goes to.

Of course my hope is that at this point most people are entrenched in who they are voting for at the top of the ticket anyways and that is all blows over. President HRC is what I want to see.

With Utah, she hasn't a hope in hell, but Trump could easily beat the independent candidate if he gets a bounce from this.

She doesn't need any of those. States where her polling average at 7+ = 272 EVs.
She has a 7 point margin in states where she gets 272? Then she's president elect. No way this swings 7 points by Nov 8th. Even taking into account MoE, she's comfortable.

Why in my post have I mentioned him as an operative? Btw I thought that statement he made about her being extremely reckless was sleazy and meant to appease both sides. All it did at the time was, it just kept the conversation going and opened himself to unnecessary accusations.
Don't do that.

Don't know how I missed it. I probably just ignore all stories related to that guy though.

Yes, that's why this FBI nonsense is more impactful about downballot. Comey's political calculation may cost Dems the Senate.

As @Raoul said though, I feel better now reading a rational explanation about it all. Pete William's has definitely calmed the nerves here.

Or it could have little effect either way and just make the Republicans look more desperate, and make Comey and to a certain extent, the FBI look completely inept. Depending on how and what is revealed in the next few hours/day or so, and how calm Hillary and her team are. This could actually be much ado about nothing and not have any real effect at all.

Will Americans really listen to what Pete Williams say though? Many just follow the news as if it's some reality show.

Saved the world, or doomed it?

FBI should be investigating how an ugly cnut like that scored hottie Huma.

the problem being, intensified these days with social media, so many news channels, etc is that there will be so many people out there spinning their own view of these events that the truth might get drowned out in the noise of everyone screaming their own viewpoint

We can only hope that most people are set in who they will vote for now and this becomes a nothing story.

She is probably filthy though. You just know that Wiener has had her doing everything you possibly can and can't imagine.

You've had a series of posts which are pretty much terrible. Some of us do live in the United States, and the election of Trump would be a disaster. I'm glad you are mildly amused at the prospect, but personally I find the support of a man who is openly racist, sexist, and has seemingly committed multiple sexual assaults, very troubling; to say the least. As someone who interacts with this society every day, lives in a multicultural city, has respect for women, has an African American wife, and a mixed race child - I find people who support Trump to be inherently offensive. You can't support a racist and a bigot without getting that stink on yourself.

In short, you are entitled to your opinion, just as I am entitled to my response. Lets not kid ourselves that this is a philosophical debate about the virtues of conservative or liberal values; if it was the context would be very different. This is purely about whether you support intolerance, hatred, scaremongering and anarchy over basic democratic values, decency and equality.
I got 5 replies to that. Every one was basically the same thing "if you want Trump to win you're racist.. etc"

If you live in America then your opinion counts and mine does not. But I refuse to just accept the "If you support Trump then you're a bad person" theory

And if he really is as bad as you say he is, then you've nothing to worry about. But I'd rather hear the other side before just accepting he's - as another poster put it - a neo facist and all bad. There wouldn't be thousands of his supporters turning up to watch him speak if he was pure evil
