2016 US Presidential Elections | Trump Wins

I like that Clinton said she'd make a deal with Russia. That addresses my only real concern with her (seemingly purblind hawkishness). It's one thing to talk a good game, another to mean it. So we'll see, but I liked her statement on the no fly zone -- it's the most detailed she's gone on it.

I will still be laughing at this tomorrow

Trump: Clinton is “such a nasty woman”

Clinton was discussing Social Security reform, saying she will seek to raise the payroll tax on high earners like herself and Trump. She said she and Trump will pay more, then added that is “assuming he can't figure out how to get out of it” — a nod to Trump’s past avoidance of federal taxes.

Trump leaned into his mic, speaking over her to declare that the first female major party nominee is “such a nasty woman.”

How long until we get a poll reflecting thought from this debate? Monday? I'm expecting more of a drift in favour of Clinton (but not too much, because I figure most of the people who will vote for her have deserted Trump already).

I could only stomach a few minutes of the Hannity comedy show. Stupid woman on there tried to claim that the cameras had a soft filter for Hillary to make her look better. Then Hannity sheepishly explained that they were Fox cameras.

Seriously, if anyone is still undecided at this point, they need to seek immediate mental health counseling. Hopefully lots of them won't even bother voting.

I sometimes think undecided is code for "not going to vote".

Why would you watch anything Fox?

If/when he loses this, I wonder what will happen to Trump. Will he disappear into darkness or somehow still be an influence in the Republican party.

They wouldn't want to be associated with him ever again. But for some, this already ended their political careers. Cruz being the most hilarious example.

He'll start that Trump TV thing. And he's effectively already got everyone who's voting for him now on board. It'll be like Alex Jones on steroids. I'm not even sure he believes the stuff he says himself but he's got absolutely no concerns about making money on the gullible masses who do. That's my take anyway.

Of course it is, there's no way anyone can be genuinely umming and ahhing at this point.

I don't get this?

I think it's just getting at Trump's comments last night making out Aleppo was reduced to rubble and absolutely everyone living there was in hell. He clearly had no clue about the place and you could just replace Aleppo with Baghdad or Haiti or America's inner cities. His hyperbole and complete lack of understanding about things he speaks about. Just rash statements and throw away knee jerk reactions to anything, also no mention of the ceasefire or the impact of the EU countries pressure on Russia in recent days and weeks. If you watched the debate he said very similar things about Chicago and other US inner cities, he said you get shot for crossing the road and they were basically all fecked. He really hasn't got a fecking clue and what he was really saying was an attack on the poor black areas of America's cities, but obviously he can't come out and say that like that, but it's not hard to decipher his code.

He's whining like feck about the media on Twitter and his surrogates are scrambling to defend and deflect again. One point I haven't heard anyone make yet though, and I'd love to throw it at Kayleigh or Jeffrey or KellyAnne or whoever, and that is, If Trump doesn't say or do these things he's accused of, then they can't be reported on. It really is that simple. Also, he hasn't once complained about the fact he has now had $3.5 BILLION worth of publicity, no he just doesn't like it when someone isn't kissing his arse. Hillary made that point extremely well at least three times last night during the debate.

@langster Aleppo was reduced to rubble, and everyone living there is living in hell, they barely have an hour or two of electricity every day, water comes once a week, signs of live going normal is because it's been 5 years already and people need to keep their lives going.

Well, that was some good catch-up readin'.

His automatic conflation of "African Americans and hispanics" and "terrible inner cities, no education, getting shot as you cross the street" is amazing... He's incapable of mentioning one without the other. You can actually see his mind working.

It's like when Aaron Sorkin had two black characters in the Newsroom, and used to automatically always write them speaking sequentially... Only, you know, if he'd had them talk about chicken and crack instead of news.

Pence changed his tune post debate on accepting the results...

Yes, you can. He really automatically connects those things. It's like a reflex.

And I loved that show lol

When Trump was saying "no you're the puppet" had me in tears. How can this man even be the one of the candidates? He acts like a big child. They are both crooks but I thought Clinton was more "presidential". Her idea's on how America should be represented and what it represents was some great points. Also she spoke well for women.

I'm now convinced that Trump is a disguised neo-fascist, intent on undermining democracy, stirring up civil unrest, encouraging post-election violence and an armed insurrectionary movement of "patriots".

He refers to Obama's presidency as a "regime". He says he's going to put Hillary Clinton in jail. He muses about "2nd amendment solutions". He says the democratic system is rigged and refuses to say that he'll accept the election outcome. He wants to round up 11m people. He openly admires "strong men" like Putin. He encourages the Russians to hack into the American government agencies. He stirs up hatred against ethnic and religious minorities. His supporters put out adverts showing ex-Navy Seals firing high-powered, rapid fire guns at unseen targets, accompanied by ominous voice-overs about Clinton.

The list goes on. They guy is not just a joke, not just a paranoid narcissist, not just a racist misogynist homophobe and not just a serial liar and con-artist. The guy is a very dangerous neo-fascist.
