They make a bit more sense when you see them divided by theme. Early campaign brainstorming, I guess.
Solid effort

More than that I hope!
Too many and I'm going to be worried my fainting nightmare came to pass.

Trump is only ahead in three of these, and in a dead heat in Arizona, so that's why national polls can be a bit skewed sometimes. It's all about the electoral college and the path to 270.

Is it worth staying up tonight? I have for the others but have to be awake earlier tomorrow. Tough decision.

@Red Viking another very good post (I won't quote it because of its length).

I think we mostly agree, except on the issue of NATO which becomes a chicken/egg scenario depending on viewpoint, really.

This is very true. The only thing I'd say is that any country (considered a military power) would respond almost identically to the Russians if faced with an encroachment upon their traditional sphere of influence. There was an agreement with NATO made in the 80s that they would not advance toward traditionally Russian controlled spheres. NATO has sought to break that agreement at every turn since. As Stockham notes:

So, whilst I agree that Russian annexation can't be given a free hand, it does have to be seen in a wider context -- one that can't simply exculpate NATO's involvement. Sure, countries can decide to join NATO, but NATO should never have sought to expand to the East, and should have simply made known that those applications would be ignored. In all honesty, NATO hasn't had any legitimacy since the Cold War. We'll likely disagree on this, but I can at least understand your viewpoint (it's a relatively common one, after all).

I will make a reply to this later today. It is 1 AM here now where i live, so im a bit too tired to write about complicated political issues such as this and i want to give it the attention it deserves when i am fresh. But i´ve enjoyed discussing with you Mciahel Goodman and we do seem to agree generally speaking.

This fellas going on my ignore list.

Just tuned in to Fox to see Megyn Kelly pushing Pence on the Trump sexual assault claims, she'll be to the left of Rachel Maddow by Trump's second term.

The nature of the political coverage is seriously wrong. CNN doesn't even bother to hide it anymore. They are referring to the damn thing as 'fight night' and prepping as 'hitting the gym'.

On the other hand, I'd be totally down with them actually fighting on stage.

I agree. Poor coverage.

There's a guy claiming to be Bill's illegitimate son giving a press conference in Vegas now. It's really weird. Possibly the weirdest press conference I've ever seen.

Ben Carson.

Even more incoherent than Trump.

"So sexual assault can wait?"

"Yeah, till after the election. It's not that far away!"

Sensationalism to try and make more people tune in. It's what sort of worries me about this election. Everyone recognises that it's largely been an absolute farce and that it's been quite embarrassing and uncomfortable at times, and yet the media will be loving it because it's perhaps developed into the most prevalent of all time, or at least in the modern era, since it's managed to add gossipy entertainment into the more serious political aspect.

You can probably say the same about every field now. With the modern media platforms and increasing relevance of views and clicks, everything turned into a form of reality TV. It was only a question of time before politics join in.
