Speaking of 2020, is there a concern Trump may run again if he fails...and that he may actually get it? You have to go back to Roosevelt/Truman to find a time where either party managed to get more than 12 years in office. I'd imagine the war at least in part contributed to that, and if you go back to before that it's the Republicans from 1897-1913.
There's already a clear disillusionment among many Americans due to the dire economic situations they've faced and if Hilary doesn't impress, she'll be easy pickings in 2020. If Trump runs again and succeeds in the primaries again...well, I'd rather not think about that.

That puts her running for reelection at 72-73 after many years of service as a Senator, Secretary of State, and President. Do you really think she'll be up for another 4 years?

Would make sense, I think Trump getting so far has been a bit of an embarrassment for them. The fact he's been in with a chance has been their only saving grace.
