Got to be Cruz next time. Is there anyone else on the horizon ?
Can't see Ted getting a chance to run after that stunt he pulled at the convention. He's persona non grata these days, I'd imagine. Paul Ryan or someone like that would be a better wager, I think.

I thought he has done a good job. Nobody anticipated Trump's rise and he has played his cards well. He's a shoo in for retaining his job whatever the results be. He'll just point to Donald Trump winning the primaries and then say he's the right man for the job to pick up the pieces.

He's such an odious little cnut, deserves a good slapping around.

Those of y'all suggesting Warren in 4 years... while I too would love to see that, don't forget that Warren herself will be 71 when 2020 rolls around.

There's no way Hillary won't seek re-election barring some catastrophe. It would be a terrible legacy for women if the 1st woman president "ran away from office."

Speaking of 2020, is there a concern Trump may run again if he fails...and that he may actually get it? You have to go back to Roosevelt/Truman to find a time where either party managed to get more than 12 years in office. I'd imagine the war at least in part contributed to that, and if you go back to before that it's the Republicans from 1897-1913.

There's already a clear disillusionment among many Americans due to the dire economic situations they've faced and if Hilary doesn't impress, she'll be easy pickings in 2020. If Trump runs again and succeeds in the primaries again...well, I'd rather not think about that.

That puts her running for reelection at 72-73 after many years of service as a Senator, Secretary of State, and President. Do you really think she'll be up for another 4 years?

Same issue with Hillary to me... Trump will be 74-75 by then.

Well...yeah, but if he gets in now then I'd imagine he'd want eight years. He could (unlikely I know) run with the intention of only staying in the role for one term. If he still looks fit and able, I doubt the public would care.

I daresay the GOP are considering something along the lines of superdelegates for their primaries to avoid such a scenario.

Also

Would make sense, I think Trump getting so far has been a bit of an embarrassment for them. The fact he's been in with a chance has been their only saving grace.

Hillary will be a disaster, so the question is, will some independent candidate rise and make a winning run for 2020?

its gonna be a golden opportunity. Someone with the charisma of Bernie Sanders but with the guts to get the job done. Someone young...

He watches CNN and MSNBC quite frequently apparently. :D
I used to wonder if he ran his own Twitter account. I was an idiot to second guess him, though, he's nothing if not remarkably consistent.

So Jeffrey Lord's response to a 3am tweet about a former beauty contestant is that Hillary wasn't awake during the Benghazi incident. I find that Lord completely missed the other analyst's point but what should we expect from persons that support this nut.

Lord is a complete nutter. Its like he was cryogenically frozen in 1985 and awoken just in time for the Drumpf election campaign.
