It was an exaggeration.
It's not rocket science though that if the temperature keeps rising the water line will rise and Florida is barely above it today as it stands.

I don't remember exactly but I think if it continues like this the water level will rise 5m during this decade. A city like Miami will be completely fecked within a few decades if nothing happens.
