2016/2017 Title race

Arsenal don't have a Mourinho a complex, they struggled against Cheksea sides for a good while whoever they were managed by.

If Arsenal were playing Utd tomorrow I know who I'd be backing.

Just look at last season. Mou couldn't beat any side, but they still managed to beat Arsenal(not in the most fair manner, I must admit, but since when have Mou's sides been concerned by ethics!)

So in order to prove people said City would finish "6th or 7th", you've pasted me in a link that shows a list of comments of people NOT saying city will finish 6th/7th and instead finishing mostly 1st and 2nd.
right....
Nothing worse than someone who says something, was completely incorrect and is then given facts to prove this, yet refuse to accept being in the wrong and spout utter nonsense.

What's even more hilarious, is your now attempting to counter it by saying majority don't have City outside top 4, which is totally irrelevant to the point made. Yet when I proved your nonsense about Arsenal outside top 4 was a minority and 80% of posts in that thread had Arsenal top 4 you refused to accept this.

Well done.

The metro is a particularly awful paper at giving ratings.
Whoscored have him at 7.53 for this season as a whole, including a 7.58 against Liverpool and a 7.16 against Leicester.

Ratings from websites and newspapers are pointless. I think we're going to have to disagree about his start to the season, but going by a lot of your posts, I think you have something of an agenda against Arsenal at times.
Whoscored have Reid as 7, Ogbonna 6.8 in a game they got humped 3-0. Antonio at 6.9 who was woeful. Whoscored ratings are bad themselves.

We will have to agree to disagree, but I certainly have no agenda against Arsenal, actually don't mind them. However can't stand when people vastly overrate performances or players. Which is the case with Bellerin and your comment about Walcott being 'excellent'

I agree, the Whoscored ratings are bad, my point was rating systems such as those, or the ones found in the metro aren't reliable in order to gauge how well players have done.

I haven't double checked, but I don't think I called him excellent, just that he's had a really good start to the season. I've never rated him and still don't as a player, but I've seen every Arsenal league game this season bar one and I think he's done really well.

Like you said, we'll have to agree to disagree.

I don't even know what you're going on about to be honest, you say a lot without actually saying anything that makes any sense . But again I'll revert to my previous message.

Anyway in your own time direct me to actual quotes from the actual 6/7 people who said City would finish in 6th position. In your own time buddy.

Like yto disagreeou said, we'll have to agree .
You didn't mate, my error, do apologise.

Early days but is Arsenals invincibles record under threat from City this season?
This is said every single time a team flies out the blocks. I still firmly remember people saying the Chelsea team of 2 seasons ago was the best premier league team off all time. Football fans really struggle to look at more than a game at a time it seems.

Liverpool have done very well thus far, considering our start. If we can come out of the next four games with 10 points then I'll start thinking about a real title challenge.

As for Manchester City, the litmus test will come soon enough. Though they are definitely favourites.

Arsenal always start with a few poor results then go on slong winning streak followed by a poor Christmas/New Year. Can't see that changing though they do look a lot more solid at the back now.

@MyOnlySolskjaer You should do another table showing the points gains/loss so far compared to that after Game week 6 last season

So, Chelsea has a better squad than Arsenal I heard???

At this stage even predicting the top four is a long, long shot. Anyone's game. Chelsea, United and Arsenal are just warming up if you ask me.

Always better to promise less and deliver more, thus far performance wise at least there's more promise than delivery.

If Chelsea, Utd and Arsenal all finish in the top 4 I will be very surprised.

Has an English team ever had a good domestic season alongside doing well in the EL? I think we will find it hard if we go far in Europe.

I think the so-called alternative table is pretty good. Maybe it's a bit early for it but it has some predictive value.

Over for us.

Down to Liverpool/Arsenal to stop Guardiola pissing all over the great English Premier League. Still reckon it's him vs Mourinho's points record.

Yep, definitely gone. Could be 8 points behind City by the end of today. And with Chelsea and Liverpool coming up, could be a few points behind top 4 already.

That's it done for us, I think.

We'll still make top 4 though, and I think if Mourinho gets a grasp over this team for a year then we'll be in good position for challenging next year.

We are not in it, that's for sure. The team still doesn't look like a proper unit and we need to many chances to win games. A lot of work still ahead for Mou to make us a proper top team again.

That being said we also play much better than we ever did under Gollum and Louis XIV.

Good chance we'll be 9 points behind Liverpool after the next 2 games, never mind City.

I never really thought we'd win the title, but am starting to worry about top 4 now...not that we should be waltzing in there after missing out for 2 of the last 3 seasons, but I didn't think we'd struggle too hard to make it there with the squad additions.

Can't see anything other than challenging for the top 4 this season which is incredibly dissappointing and embarrasing considering the players and money we have spent. Our rivals have played better as a team and have got the results. We have been a mismatch of good play and poor periods throughout games. Jose still doesnt know his best team. However, I think we will play better and get the results as the season progresses but by then itll be too late. Also, I think our rivals have had the rub of the luck with refereeing decisions of late which will change.

City, Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal just look better than us at the moment. It'll be difficult to even finish above one of them this season. Then there's still the added challenge of Chelsea who I'm not too sure of yet.

The verdicts of the so called experts here -

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37040156

The two galacticos that were Jermaine Jenas and Dean Saunders don't think we'll even manage a Top 4 finish.

Guess that's why one was an overrated nobody and why the other one has been fired as often as he has been....

Suddenly Jermaine and Dean look like Einstein and Mystic Meg while geniuses who predicted Utd to win the league don't.:wenger:

Out of Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, City and spurs we have had about the easiest fixture run so far and we are trailing by five.
