I just wanna let the forum know...

Orioles 4-0

What, feckinh What? feck off!

Humor me, this is the highlight of the season for a long suffering Orioles fan, we know we'll be at the bottom of the division before long.

Rangers have teh power, I like their 1-9 but not so big on their rotation.

I'd also like to point out I like Lackey being in Boston.

Manny being Manny, allegedly caught again so decides to retire.

Rangers started off well, slipped a bit of late. pitching a bit hurt and inconsistant right now. hitting is as expected. Go Rangers!

Posada just supposedly refused to hit 9th, might develop into him leaving the Yankees somehow. Real shame if it ends that way but he's hitting like shit and Montero is racking AAA again.

Yeah I saw this watching the game with Cashman being interviewed

Another twist Ken_Rosenthal: Source: #Posada had back stiffness. Contradicts Cashman, who said Posada wasn't injured

Someones lying and I would go with the player. In other Yankee news they suck ass in offense & defence.

No wonder Arsenal can't win anything.

Ranger starting pitchers have been great and the hitting, other than kinsler, is back on track with hamilton and cruz back from injuries. on a roll right now. keep it going boys!

ooops..just saw this :(

It's picked up somewhat since that point but either way they still have issues hitting with runners in scoring position and the backend of the rotation is stuck together with stick tape. Posada is basically a corpse against left hand pitching this season (zero hits off left handers this season) and a complete waste of the DH position.

Trouble is Montero isn't exactly lighting it up in AAA now, still hitting over .300 but the lack of power is puzzling, a lot of experts say hes just trying too hard in order to get to the show, the fact Posada is hitting .169 for $13 million means he probably won't get there for a month or two yet regardless. The farm system as a whole is down on last year but thats probably just natural regression after a big year at most levels. Jorge Vazquez has 18 HR's at .282 at AAA and would also be worth a shot at DH but Yankees seem to not want to use him, probably never will.

Bullpen has been savaged with injury, Soriano wasn't good when he was playing now his on the DL and they might shut him down if he doesn't look good, worries on the elbow. Feliciano we haven't seen at all and probably won't until late season if at all.

Rotation of CC, AJ, Colon, Garcia & Nova. On the plus side Colon has been awesome, AJ a slight improvement on last year and CC ofcourse is a lights out horse. Garcia has been decent & Nova has been adequate but basically never strikes anyone out. Phil Hughes is coming back soon but again depends on if his issues have cleared up.

I think the Yankees will be in for pitching big in the trade market, they really need another strong starter and depending on others coming back a relief arm too. I worry about next season as much as this one, starting pitching is a major issue and the free agent market isn't strong, then if CC opts out (alot think he will) then we have to pay that man whatever he wants.

Basically they blow hot and cold, some nights the pitching are lights out and the offense don't score or the other way around, just don't think they have the rotation to win big this season, on the plus side there are no standout teams thus far.

The biggest problem this year has been RISP, they have looked terrible very 2008. Even though the Yanks have scored the most runs, its like if they can't hit a homer then nothing. I would bite the bullet bench Jorge he isn't doing it, maybe after whole farce for thowing his toys out of his pram about batting 9th DFA maybe. Yeah Montero he's going through what he went through last year not much power to start the year. Thing with Vazquez has 18 HRs also Maxwell with 16 the big problem is the both have 65+ Ks in 200 ABs thats bad at even at AAA level. I'd try Andruw Jones or 3 or 4 weeks maybe even Chavez when he returns at DH see how they do if it doesnt work try a trade.

With the Yankees rotation the biggest problem is Nova hes let 47 base runners in the last 22 IP. I'd give Noesi a shot put Nova in bull pen at least before the trade deadline.

Absolutely agree on Noesi, hes looked alright out of the pen and is generating swings and misses which is something Nova hasn't been great at. Nova just doesn't have a put away pitch does he, still young enough to get there but not sure the Yankees can afford to wait for him.

I think we should be knocking on the broken Mets door, they have to be ready for some salary dumping at some point. Beltran would be a nice fit. As for the arm I have always liked Kuroda, might be worth a shot.

After watching Pujols start to heat up again the inner muppet in me would love the Yankees to break the bank for him in the off-season, not going to happen because too much money already spent in his positions but either way I'd still love it, it aint my money.

Agreed Beltran is worth a look at I would do that trade only problem is how long they give Jorge unless they trade Swish put Beltran in right. Be intresting to see what happens with the Dodgers they have big money/ownership problems maybe see what we can get of them.

Another bad day for Posada a DP then a base running error he is hurting this team now so far.

There comes a point when a platooning DH hitting beneath the mendoza line has to be cut. He's been a great servant to the club but come on Jorge do the right thing and hang it up. If I was the Yankees I would give him the choice of hanging them up or just eating whats left and cutting him loose.

Aye good win that. Swisher atleast waking up and Colon still getting it done. Stem Cells ftw.

Orioles bottom of the division, but if I'm honest, I'm pretty happy with the season so far.

26-31...not too far off being .500 for the season. Come the end of the season, if we're still in a similar situation, it'll be a huge positive.

Oh and we're better than the Nationals...hehe

Draft day today. Gerrit Cole might go first, could have been a Yankee in 2008. Rays have 10 picks in the first 60 which is crazy, they already have a pretty top end farm system.

I read Yankees will be hoping someone from the 20 will price themselves out want big money like Brackman. Yankees over the last few years have focused on the international draft which they need to really, with the likes of Betances, Banuelos, Montero and Sanchez many more. There never gonna have a great draft with winning ever year and signing big free agents.

Or signing free agent Type-A relief pitchers on multiyear deals above your GM's head.

Really

Yankee's with more injuries then, Joba's likely done and two shitty pitching performances so far against the Red Sox. They gotta make some moves soon.

Red Sox swept Yankees. 'Nuff said.

Beginning to think it's just not our year, even though our offense is still one of the best the rotation and bullpen is down to the bare bones now. If someone like David Robertson or CC gets hurt then we are up shit creek without a paddle. They are gonna make some moves soon I guess but I hope we don't lose some top end prospects just for filler.
