Best us Euros can hope for is a draw here. Thouh I reckon the yanks are going to walk away with the 3 points from the fourballs.
 
Watson and Overton have their match wrapped up, Cink and Kuchar also looking safe, only point in doubt is Stricker and Woods

EDIT: great comeback by the Europeans to get half a point, but they won't get anything from the other two.
 
This is picking up a bit. The quality was fairly poor I think until the last 90 minutes or so. It'd be great if they went level or close to it going into the singles.
 
The Molinaris with a great comeback to win the 16th and go into the final two holes all square with Johnson and Mahan.
 
The captains pick were ridiculous IMO. Casey and Rose have been playing well on the US tour and the team chemistry would have been a lot better with their inclusion.
 
Europe 4-6 USA after the first set of foursomes.

Poor by McIlroy and McDowell considering the were in pole position.
 
Really good come back by the Europeans, could go into the singles with a lead.
 
Delay to the start of the day.
Due to the weather warning for Wales in force till 12.00 ,very heavy rain ,there is a good chance of of no play today , how are they going to complete this Ryder Cup.
there is still a shit load of golf to play , they wont do it all on Monday , will it go into Tuesday?

this is the met office warning , valid till 12noon

I heard somewhere that any games not completed by dark tomorrw night are declared a half so tomorrow has to be the last day.
 
Play to resume at 1:30. Donald/Westwood and McIlroy/McDowell should wrap up their matches. I predict it will be 8.5-7.5 to Europe by the end of the foursomes today.

The singles are moved to tomorrow.

Westwood has to be the best player in the world at the moment. Todays match takes him to 6-0-1 against Tiger Woods in Ryder Cup-matches.
 
The Ryder Cup is an amazing format. The tension over three days is unique in sport IMO.
 
Not liking the captains picks. The Molinari brothers are not gelling, and Harrington is hardly a Ryder Cup power house.

This would have been a walk over with the right captains picks.

Harrington has been great so-far. Lost the first match, but near perfect since then. And to blame manty for the molinari brothers 'not gelling' is ludicrous. FFS they just won the world cup plahying together.
 
What a session. 5 and a half points out of 6. Absolutely whipped the yanks. Deff goona win it now. To a man they were great.
 
Great day for Europe, big putt by the Molinari brother to ensure Europe didn't lose this session. 5 points needed to win the Ryder Cup...
 
Gutted I'm not going to get to see the singles being stuck in work. feck you rain, feck you Wales and double feck you sky, if it was on BBC I could watch online or my phone.
