What was the story with both the BBC and Sky absolutely slating Harrington consistently? Obviously they are still sore about Englishman Casey not being picked, but was that Harrington's fault that Casey wasn't picked? They deliberately only showed Harrington's poorer shots. Some matches were showed more, and they only went back to different holes to show a shot from a match if it was a fantastic shot. But with Harrington, they only showed that bad ones. Also, he got slated for losing to Johnsen and they said Harrington was playing poorly, but wasn't he -3 or something? Johnsen was hitting birdie after birdie and was doing something similar to what Woods was doing against Molinari. Yet instead of praising Johnsen like they did Woods, they were consistently slating Harrington. Harrington did not play poorly at all yesterday. It was pretty damn annoying to see the slating he was getting.
Did you stop to think that Casey was in far better form and should have been picked.
Why did Monty (a Scott) leave out two Englishmen (Rose and Casey) that many considered better picks in preference for an Italian and Irishman?
Harrington was in as good form as either plus he is a 3 time major winner. Molinari was the form player in the world. Obviously Monty wanted someone experienced and nobody has more than Harrington. Implying Monty didn't pick Rose or Casey because of some racist idea he has is ridiculous. BBC and Skys treatment of Harrington was ridiculous. I've never seen any sports event spun in such a way. (I'm not really a Harrington fan personally, but it really pissed me off)
Rose and Casey have both been playing well on the PGA Tour this year, ranked 8th and 9th. Harrington is ranked 58th. Rose has won two PG Tournaments and has been competitive all year. Casey is also 10th on the European Tour, and 8th in the world rankings.
And lets not forget Harringtons Ryder Cup form is below average.

It was really just the one guy but feck me he was disgraceful. Ive said it before Casey should have been selected. Rose isnt a Ryder Cup player imo. Mentally weak. Harrington on form is probably Europes most complete player. His current situation is a bit like Woods...
You don't win two tournaments on the PGA tour being mentally weak IMO. Harrington on form is a great tournament player, probably second to Tiger BUT he isn't a good Ryder Cup player even when he is playing well.
