2010 Election Poll

Who have you voted for?

  • Total voters
    85
  • Poll closed .
In 2005 my constituency was tight between Labour and Lib Dems, so voted for the Labour candidate on the basis that they have the best chance of keeping the Tories out. And despite recent polls, a lot of potential Lib Dem voters probably bottled it when it came to the crunch or were too stoned to make it to the polling station.

With a pretty heavy heart, Labour.

They're the party that look like they will screw myself and the Mrs over the least.

Shit way of looking at it, I know, but that's the way its gone.

Ulster Unionists And Conservatives

West Tyrone

Is that because you want to vote Tory or because you want to vote for a Unionist Party that is not the DUP?

I find it odd in that centre-left Unionsts in NI are a bit fecked when it comes to voting.

And the TUV are dicks

First what relevance does the 'half dead - one eye'd' jibe have to do with voting for policies.

They've been in power 13 years - And?

Illegal Wars - Granted, but so would the Tories.

Allowed the economy to be destroyed - The Tories have got pretty much every call in the recession wrong - don't nationalise Northern Rock etc...

It's a global recession - you mkae it sound like Brown himself robbed a bank and triggered a worldwide loss of confidence.

So much spin - 'Cos the other parties would never dream of that.

They fecked the country up in 13 years, the incompetence with the economy is startling, and we lack 'value' for our tax pound.

No they did not feck the country up. The country is a vast improvement on the mid 90s. Thanks to Labour, the NHS is miles better, there is a minimum wage in place, the elderly are provided with a winter fuel allowance and homophobic Tory legislation has been scrapped, among all the other Labour achievements.

As for incompetence with the economy, the Tories are in no position to judge. If they had it their way (assuming they weren't lying to score political points), we'd have been in a depression, and would almost certainly still be in recession. They opposed quantitive easing (which turned out to be a success) and farcically opposed the measures taken to stop the banks from failing.

If only the Redcafe opinion was reflected nationwide.

Yes. The key is, they're not The Conservatives, and voting for them seemed slightly less pointless than voting for Nick Clegg, and whatever it is he represents.

im amazed so many agreed with us. i thought id vote tory as i was so pissed off with the whole thing .... but in the ballot box, i just could not do it.

how i pray that the tories govern for the next 10 months in a coalition and feck it up so that in the election of 2011, labour can get back in, rid of brown and his cronies and with the new guard. i think labours 'yoof' is far more talented than the tories.
