I feel for your lot and this Cito business, although it turns out it's not even all that bad, just some isolated issues.
 
I think its just players looking for a scape goat. I mean Vernon Wells was pretty vocal about it, anything to deflect the woeful home form the guy has.

If i was Cito i'd just leave an image in the dressing room of the two World Series Rings the guy has & let the players think about what they're saying. Currently Gaston is the best man we have going forward for the club, Ricciardi is the man that needs to go imo.
 
Griffey Jr. singled in what will probably be his last AB, great player, first ballot HOFer without a doubt.
 
The guy still hit 19 home runs this season, but such a shit average, time to call it a day Jr.

Yankees win game 1 against the twins but they should have after they went to the 12th inning then having to fly to NYC.
 
Break out the brooms in the Yanks/Twins series. It would be an upset if the Twins win once in this series. Their pitching is quite average and the Yankees hitters are incredibly patient and will feast on anything the pitching gives them over the plate.
 
Haven't made it here to make my prediction:

Yankees in 4
Red Sox in 4
Dodgers in 5
Phillies in 3 (Although by the looks of things the Rockies will scoop a W)
 
I hate to say this but I hope the Red Sox beat the Angels just for the time I hate west coast games its too late for me in the UK.

Cardinals
Rockies
giant meteor shower killing both Red Sox and Angels.

Gosh, it must be a traffic snarl in L.A. with both Dodgers and Angels playing at home. OH NO WAIT, THE ANGELS PLAY IN ORANGE COUNTY. OH WAIT, TRAFFIC IN LA IS ALWAYS SHITTY. :lol::lol::lol:
 
feck me, the Yankees start at 305 out here tomorrow not gonna get to see any of the action more than likely

Although i'm not one for excuses, CB Bucknor fecked up often, as well as Mr.West behind the plate, a fluctuating strike zone was just awful.

And these problems went both ways.

I figured the Twins stole that game but once Teixeira got the leadoff hit I just had that feeling ARod was going to hit one out. Once Nathan got behind 3-0 everyone knew he had to throw strikes. It was a matter of which pitch was ARod going to connect as it was going to be a fastball in the strike zone.

This postseason for ARod is reminiscent of Bonds breakout postseason in 2002. Hopefully for ARod, it continues and it ends positively. There is no excuse for NYY to not win the championship this season.

As a Yankees fan, I must say, damnit. One time I do not want to face in the playoffs is the Angels. I think we can beat them, only problem is they can beat us too. They scare me big time.
 
Cards are going home early it looks like. Fantastic win that was last night for the Yanks, I was so tired I had to turn it off in the 6th and was expecting to wake up to a loss if im honest, to have won after being nearly out is the best way.

Im hoping for this wraped up in 3.
 
Yankees facing Pavano right now I don't think other then Papelbon there is a pitcher I would like to beat more. 3 innings so far he is pitching well the offence better get going soon against that theif
 
Sad the Sox are out. But i'd rather they lost to the Angels than the evil empire.
 
Sox had a mare of an end to the season, the form just wasnt there. I wonder what the odds are currently on an all LA World Series?

Mo closes it. Nathan failed in Game Two. Papelbon failed today. Mo continues to consistently amaze and thrive.

WE simply were not good enough this year, Anderson. Pitching too inconsistent. And I think we just lacked the drive. You can't win em all.
 
I think the Ortiz controversy killed Boston. They just lost that swagger. Yankees will have a tough time against the Angels who are without a doubt the feel good story of the play-offs after the Adenhart tragedy.
