That Express article basically plagiarised the two pages from the caf. @Niall should sue their ass!
 
Morata seems a useful player but I just can't get my head around his price tag. It's madness.
 
I wonder whether Morata's sale might be dependent on Madrid signing Mbappe? I can't see them leaving themselves with one decent striker.
 
I like Morata the player, would improve us. Won't look forward to the constant whining about wanting to return to Madrid though. Was barely tolerable when Ronaldo was doing it. And £70?!?! Just wow at what continues to happen in this market.

£70 would be pretty reasonable to be fair.

We should have a whip-round the caf. I'm sure we could scrape 70 quid together. I'll set up an account you can all transfer the monies over to me, which then I'll transfer to Woody. :smirk:

I wonder the same. It would be a mistake to weaken the squad to pay later some crazy amount for his substitute
 
Andy Mittens latest piece seems to suggest he thinks Morata is just using United to try to guarantee more minutes at Madrid

I know not everyone here is mad about Mitten, but he does have sources in England and Spain

Nah, that was about ten years ago when we fabricated news on Kaká and some moron journalist using the caf as "a source close to the player" got a snowball of breaking news rolling. There's been quite a few incidents like these but I don't remember such a lazy one that is literally a transcript of a thread. The ridiculous usernames do add a colourful touch, mind.

What I find hilarious is everyone is so looking forward to that first signing that nobody seems bothered that Rooney hasn't been linked to anyone or anything at all. I can see it lasting until August when suddenly everyone starts getting a bit nervous about it.

I have noticed on facebook united have recently posted loads of rooney related stuff. "Our captain and top goalscorer". Was hoping for a caf meltdown.

I'm more worried about who comes in than who leaves. I really do rate morata though. Such a good striker, could be a star for us. Throw in fabinho, a cb and a winger and it'll be a great summer... until 6 months time when we start talking about how no one is any good. Like every season.
