I think I would be happier getting rid of 5 players this summer than signing 5.

Need to be smart this transfer window, go for players with release clauses. No messing about with clubs then… 1 player I defo want us to sign is Olise. I wouldn’t mind us going for Zirkzee aswell. 2 players that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg.

Getting £10 for Casemiro let alone millions is way too much!
Little unfair, he was very good last year not this year his legs have gone, we have to hope he realises this, Saudis pay £34m and give him £500/600k per week for two three years. Huge benefit if this one goes through the payment will be upfront so that’s a huge benefit to actual Cashflow.

Would be delighted even if the offer was half of that.
The club still owe £30m
With two instalments of £15m in 24/25 and 25/26 season.
So £34m will show as a small profit on the books but removing £350k off the accounts for the next two years is huge, it saves the club £18.2m a year in wages.

Was trying to be funny. If we get £34m for him at 32 after a poor year we will be incredibly lucky

Correct decision. An okay player but been here years and never showed enough to be considered a starter. Should still get roughly €30million for him.
If we get €30m for a 30 year old Lindelof with one year left on his contract I will happily eat every hat I can lay my hands on.

Lindelöf is a good defender, but if we want United to come back to old standards, then "good" is not good enough. We need some of the best defenders possible, and Lindelöf is no where near that level.

Lindelof wouldn’t even play at city if all their defenders were injured, Pep would play midfielders in defence before him, he’s nowhere near good enough for top level teams, never has been, just another example of our terrible transfer policy the last decade.

Agreed. Can't believe certain people were suggesting he should be DM fill-in. He's better on the ball than Smalling was, but only slightly better than Varane, for whom passing is the weakest part of his game. IN addition he gets bullied aerially and even on the ground - his play reading is OK, but not enough that he should been kept on so long, except that we were being run by a football exec operation with genuinely worse judgement/instincts than the average Cafe commenter

Lindelof would have been well remembered as "the good servant 15 games a year" in a successful side. But he's never a starter for a team that wants to get somewhere. I do like him, though.

I'm not as adamant about getting rid of Cas as most, mostly because that means we need to buy 2 new dms in the summer instead of 1. However, if they're really offering £34m, we should take it. That's a really reasonable bid, and we could really benefit financially from getting his £350k wages off the wage bill. That being said, INEOS need to replace him. If they don't invest properly, as I'm quite concerned they might not, we could continue going backwards.

Our reported early targets aren't encouraging me tbh.

Absolutely correct decision to sell Lindelof considering he only has 1 year left on his contract.

He's shot. It's Matic redux. He's not exactly the most consistent playmaker either so it's not like you're using him as DLP if you have ambitions to crack top 4 and beyond again. There are players in the French league available for what Casemiro would hypothetically fetch from Saudi, who would be more effective, just in terms of PL demands, even if they don't have the same level of big club, big-match experience.

He’s worth more than Fabinho as he’s still Brazilian Captain, I think United might ask for £40m, might spin a yarn that he’s a vital part of our rebuild which Ofcourse is not true!

Lindelof has been here since 2017 for feck sake.

It was clear after a year he wasn't very good, mental he's lasted 7 years.
