Gone with the below
---------------------Romero----------------------
--Lindelof------Rojo---------Blind------Shaw
-------Herrera-------Fellaini------------
---------------Pogba-----------
----------Lingard----------Sanchez
------------Rashford----------------
Mctominay, Lukaku and Tony from the bench.
No de Gea, Valencia, Jones, Pogba or Martial travelling. Surely all will start on Wednesday.
Squad: S. Romero, Pereira, O'Hara, Young, Shaw, Darmian, Smalling, Marcos Rojo, Lindelof, McTominay, Matic, Carrick, Ander Herrera, Gomes, Mata, Lingard, Sanchez, Rashford, Lukaku.
My guess, he's still carrying an injury. Maybe the same is happening with Blind and even Jones. Mourinho mentioned he was going to let some players recover from little injuries.Where's Fellaini?
And he'll be on the bench, for sure. If the game is easy, Mourinho might give him some minutes.Gomes
As is De gea, Jose must hate them both!Martial dropped!
Pogba as well! Jose hates him cause he's not 8 ft tall! Negative tactics! As is De gea, Jose must hate them both!
With two/three weeks of training after heart surgery?Carrick must be in contention to play. Pogba isn't travelling and Matic you'd expect to be rested as well so I think Carrick starts.
Very unlikely, if you look at the traveling squad. And it wouldn't even count as Tottenham preparation, since they've dropped the 3 at the back lately.Think we might see a curveball and go for a 3-5-2 tonight. Something like this:
Romero
Lindelof - Smalling - Rojo
Young --------------------------- Shaw
McTominay---Fellaini-- Pogba
Sanchez - Rashford

Problem is usually that even in easy games, our subs are made to see out the results so the youngsters rarely get off the benchAnd he'll be on the bench, for sure. If the game is easy, Mourinho might give him some minutes.
McTominay got 90' against Bristol and we got thrown out of the League Cup.Problem is usually that even in easy games, our subs are made to see out the results so the youngsters rarely get off the bench
Or Lukaku.Looking at the travelling squad I would expect either Rashford or Sanchez to be on the bench, otherwise we have no forwards available off the bench and that would be very unlike Jose.
https://amp.theguardian.com/football/2017/nov/24/michael-carrick-manchester-united-heart-procedure. It wasn't a heart surgery. It was a ablation procedure and this was a 2 months ago so he could be ready for selection now although I'm not 100% sure. With two/three weeks of training after heart surgery?
Think we might see two up front. Sanch and Rashford or Lukaku. So, the big question is, if he starts, where will Sánchez play, now that our left-wide forward (Martial) is out. If Sánchez goes to the left and Rashford to the right…
Uhh was talking about subs. Grammar was clear enough. Many of these youngsters aren't good enough to be startingMcTominay got 90' against Bristol and we got thrown out of the League Cup.
Possibly. I just figured Lukaku starts but as it's lower league he could start on the bench with Sanchez central.Or Lukaku.
Thanks for the clarification. Carrick's ready, since he's in the squad. I was just wondering if he had enough training, certainly not 2 months, so he could start.https://amp.theguardian.com/football/2017/nov/24/michael-carrick-manchester-united-heart-procedure. No surprise about Tuanzebe omission, he just got loaned to Aston Villa. Pogba started against Bristol and it wasn't enough, even in a midfield three, so maybe Mourinho feels Matić makes us more balanced like no other player does, except perhaps Carrick. Fellaini must be carrying the same knee injury, only explanation.Main surprises with the squad are Matic & Gomes travelling, and no Fellaini or Tuanzebe. I think Matic is one of the most important players, so hopefully he's just on the bench, but I think we should've gone with Fellaini instead if he's fit. Matic would have made more sense to rest than Pogba, but oh well.
