Got a bad feeling about this... please someone tell me the clown's plane back from AFCon got delayed!

Some fans are too biased to admit their team got away with one. Most United fans would be fuming if we didn't get a penalty at the other end.

Jon Moss actually apologised to Gary O'Neill after the game.

This is why VAR isn't full-proof. It's open to interpretation.

Im not being biased, it was never a penalty and no I wouldnt think it was if it happened at the other end.

Those kinds of collisions happen a lot and are never given as penalties.

If you listen to the VAR Audio the VAR ypu hear them correctly say "its an accidental collision, we dont give those".

Jon Moss appologising is meaningless because as far as im aware he wasnt thier in any official capacity and had been sat in the bar all night.

    Casemiro isn't very good anymore.

He had a few months of good form last season, but was on the wane by the end of it. ten Hag's tactics don't help the situation.
I don't think he was set up to succeed to start the season to be honest.

Id be more interested to see what he's like with Mainoo next to him.

Of course, Ten Hag will opt for McTominay now that I've said that.

I guess you're not most then. I don't agree with your take and vice versa. Best to leave it at that.

Goalkeepers are the most protected species in football.

It was a penalty. That week United benefited. In other matches it was the other way around. The better questions is this: So what?

    ...........Onana.......
    Dalot.Maguire.Martinez.Shaw
    ........Mainoo.Casemiro.........
    ................Bruno..................
    Antony.......................Garnacho
    .................Højlund..................

    It ends 1-1. Højlund scores.
    Subs: Rashford, Eriksen, Varane

Well, officials need to start being consistent with their use of VAR so that teams get consistent and, ultimately, correct decision making.

I don't really care about the Wolves game at this stage. I just don't agree that it was the right decision at the time, which the initial post was about.

Have to win matches like this to keep any slim hopes of competing for 4th alive

Or we go on a run beginning today and 4 or 5 matches from now we're back with the lead group fighting for a champions league spot and leaving the second group in our dust.

And then the Leafs win the Cup. And then you wake up. :D

If we don’t win today it’s eleven points up to both of the teams at 4/5 place. Not impossible but I would say we would need something of a miracle.

So, two teams with most wierd and strange decisions against them meet. Lets see if we can get a normal game.

It is going to be tough game but I think we can score some goals and hit them on counterattack.

I asked ChatGPT and this is the result:

"Alright, Manchester United! Today's game against Wolves is a chance to show the world what we're made of. Remember, every pass, every tackle, every shot counts. Let's bring our A-game, channel that passion, and leave it all on the field. We've got the talent, the spirit, and the history behind us. So, let's go out there, play with heart, and make every moment count. Believe in yourselves, believe in each other, and let's show them why we're Manchester United! Together, we can conquer any challenge. Now, let's go out there and make our fans proud! Glory, glory, Man United!"

Technically it will take long term injury players time to get to full fitness. But I understand why this won’t be an accepted reason if the don’t hit the ground running.

I hope I have the serenity to stay out of here if we lose or draw. I’d say it will be carnage.

It should be carnage if we lose.
Someone earlier in this thread said that our manager doesn't have any tactical nouse - I'm inclined to agree.

Imagine if a new manager were interviewed. He was told that he'll have a transfer budget of £200M per year. In your second year (having spent £400M), what league position do you think you'll get?
Imagine if he said "8th place".
He'd likely be asked to leave and be laughed at by the interview panel.
Well, ETH is the manager who is in 8th place, in February.

Horrible, but probably stil better than what Eric comes up with.

Looks like Onana and Rashford both start, Antony is dropped

Good team, still absolutely decimated by injuries but at least some senior players are available now.

Right so. That's probably our A team for the first time this season, no? Let's see what they've got.

    Rashford

I'm actually shocked by that. I thought Ten Hag would try and make it look like there were at least some repercussions. Rashfords agent must have laid down the law in that meeting.

Kick in the teeth for Antony too. A goal and assist, finally sorting for him to build on. And straight back to the bench.

Yea, I has the same dilemma.

We don't swap wingers much in games. I'd quite like to see Garnacho and Anthony swap wings a couple of times tonight to see where they each get the most joy.

    Garnacho starts from the right.

By “absolutely decimated” you mean Bissaka, Malacia, Lindelof and Mount? Not many of those would have competed to start
