Not sure if Rashford is that needed now. Our biggest weakness lies in midfield but we had some chances.
Except he’s been decent in pretty much every game he’s featured in this season.
Really need a good finisher, we haven’t created as many as we usually do today, but we really need to score some of these clear chances we create.
Dropped to the bench for disciplinary reasons according to Ten Hag.
Was naughty so ETH dropped him.
It looks like the Dutch league was Antony’s level. It wasn’t like he was putting up big numbers over there either. Spending €100 million on him was a ludicrous decision.
Antony is someone we'll have to judge long term. He's young, new league, and a huge price tag pressure. That's hard for a young player to adapt to. Look at Dembele at Barca... Took years for it to click.I judge signings after season ends but so far i see more potential (for being better signing) in Nunez than Antony.
Wow, a sensible and considered post. Agree with all.I think we are playing pretty well, just lacking quality in either final ball or finishing. Wolves are much more solid than forest and Burnley but our chances are coming.
Anthony is doing ok, needs that bit of luck with his finishing it will come. His defensive work is sound but the moaners will be on his back as they were Rashfords last season. Wish they would get behind the team instead of whining like old women.
interesting to hear Rashfords benched for in-discipline. Hes let himself and the team down, he must think hes still playing for Ole - but I like ETH no nonsense disciplined approach. Sends a big message out to the team.
No, he hasn't.
He needs to come in early in the second half. Antony and Martial have been asleep. Not sure if Rashford is that needed now. Our biggest weakness lies in midfield but we had some chances.
Some decent football but I'd have Harry on and Shaw left back plus Rashford on. Anthony desperately needs something to go right for him. Bruno starting to get on the ball a bit. That needs to continue.
No, he hasn't.
Not at all.Going by today sure. Add Bruno to that list then
Why? Everything tonight comes down our right side through him. We’ve kept the ball high up and pressed the Wolves defence back. He isn’t there to score goals.I judge signings after season ends but so far i see more potential (for being better signing) in Nunez than Antony.
Pretty much. Was a bad miss.Garnacho takes that chance like he should and they would have opened up a bit. Just remember we aren't facing the same Wolves that Arsenal and City beat at Molineux.
And you must have unrealistic expectations. You must be watching a different game to the rest of us or just wumming
Been saying this all season, we need to accept 5th is as good as it gets this season but with new owners and big pockets we can have a brilliant season next season. If we don't get players in we're missing out on top4
Brilliant challenge by Collins tbf
I don't know what you even expect.I honestly don't know what game you've been watching
Oh, he's been awful. Has barely made a successful pass and ruined so many attacks. I'd say he was our worst player in that half, and of course recent performances makes him stand out a bit.Anthony bashing has been very bizarre on this thread.
Relative to his peers he's not bad at all, the quartet is all off the boil today. Have to remember early kick offs are generally slow, but I don't think Anthony is remotely the worst of our lot. I've been far more frustrated by Marial's heavy footed jogs and lack of acceleration.
Also more annoyed that our backline aren't recycling the ball quick enough vertically up the pitch, and Bruno keeps throwing the ball back to the opposition. Eriksen is non existent. There are a lot of players that are anonymous / poor before I consider Anthony.
Antony is someone we'll have to judge long term. He's young, new league, and a huge price tag pressure. That's hard for a young player to adapt to. Look at Dembele at Barca... Took years for it to click.
There's plenty of time for Antony, in the mean time he just has to work hard, but he's clearly low on confidence too.
We've been decent. It's our lack of taking our chances that's the problem. Lack of composure in front of goal - our perennial problem...
Probably the one on the pitch, seems like you’ve not thoughI honestly don't know what game you've been watching
We're boring to watch.
Tempted to agree, Malacia looks a liability.
No I've thought this for a while. He has been a decent addition on a free but he's far too passive and in these type of games he gets overrun and bullied. Other games where we can really dominate the ball, he can pick his passes but he's a rotation piece not a start imo.We just saying anything today then?
