Mainoo motm imo. Garnacho very good in 1st, but not much of a 2nd. The other way around with Varane and McTominay.We created the chances, but it highlighted our big problem. If we had our shooting boots on it would have been a better rated performance.Was a pen. Poor display. Wigan crap.

So then you should have been forthright and said it’s not a penalty despite the contact. It’s a clear penalty in terms of the law though especially as the ref had the best view of it.

It's embarrassing that people will defend this dive. Just like Jota and Diaz at the weekend, there is contact but not enough for him to go down like he did. It's a dive.
I don't think it's a dive though, if a player kicks you on the foot it's a foul.
Barely touched him, it wasn't a kick, he slid in and made the slightest bit of contact with his toe. It's embarrassing to see him go down like that, Ashley Young levels of embarrassing.
'Barely' kicking someone's foot still registers highly as contact. Any sort of impact on that area of the body tends to hurt and/or hinder movement.
Even in your statement you admit he touched him which makes it a foul and the ref viewed it as breaking the law as kicking someone's foot often does that! You're more embarrassed about the reaction than the supposed no foul itself.
It's embarrassing that the captain of Man Utd has to resort to embellishing minimal contact to win a penalty, because he can't find a way to make a difference from open play against a league 1 team.
