Surprise surprise. Jose's new formation with new players in new roles is not working. The players look confused.

Pretty damning to the midfield and full-backs how often Sanchez has to drop.

Sanchez really is making us look so disjointed. He's all over the place and not in a good way. He's always occupying the same space as Pogba.

I really like Neville as a bloke, but his punditry for us is fecking nauseating.
I think Gary and Phil are both commentating. The alternative is that he doesn't remember what he's moaning about. He went from complaining that the midfielders aren't looking to play the ball forward to moaning that our loan forward is coming too deep in about 90 seconds.

Is jose going to drop sanchez and lingard now?

They've done more defensive work in the first half of this game each, than Martial and Rashford put in together in the last game.

Someone will have to remind me of the purpose of McTominay.
The same reason why lingard plays. Those are his type of players. Following his instructions and playing safe. But yes, i really don't see the use of mctominay

Seems they want to take Sanchez home with them!

To many limited players on the pitch that can't play the killer pass or take a man on.

missed Paddy Power by seconds - a draw and under 2.5 goals looks a good bet

    it was 3.2

Fairly predictable score in a game where we have no striker

Not that playing with a striker would necessarily change it mind you

Wonder who Jose will blame? Martial, Rashford both aren't playing. Wait, Shaw is playing. So it's Shaw then.

Today I learned a new stereotype.
Actual human doing soccerball are so boring. I never let my 'players' waste gametime. My team NEVER pass sideways.

    EDIT:
Especially Scot human. Always penny pinching, cagey as feck and always passes sideways.

Sanchez has been fouled pretty much every time he's got the ball. Pogba has been fouled 2-3 times without the ref being interested. And we have good shouts for two pens.

I think the team has played relatively well, played as a team and been committed.

    Ref been terrible so far.

I think it's been an okay performance. Adrian seems to be having a De Gea.

Sanchez, clearly frustrated with the lack of service, feels the need to drop deep in order to get involved in the game. Looking at you, midfielders, looking at you!

Why is Sanchez dropping that deep ? It serves us no purpose, congest the midfield and makes us lack any presence upfront. The idea seems to be he drops so that Lingard and Pogba rushes upfront instead of him but both aren't that clinical to sacrifice the number 9 role. We have done well but without a presence upfront we'll remain shooting from outside the box waiting for one of them to get in.

Put in Martial or Rashford instead of Scott.

I dont want much from my manager , just a bit of honesty is what all i need. Is Jose seriously happy with this?

The fecking double standards from the referee. Absolutely no consistency in how he awards fouls. West Ham have gotten several FKs for things their players have gotten away with scot free.

Lingard's done quite well, but I think we need another proper forward on. I'd think about subbing him for Martial/Rashford.

I didn’t think we played that badly but West Ham are very poor. The game has shown just how much better Jones is than Smalling it’s not even comparable. Shame he’s always bloody injured!
