Win this and we get top four. I think City are in for a tough time at Swansea, and we have a relatively easy game against Bournemouth.

Drop points here and it's all been for nothing.

Suddenly a massive game, maybe even bigger than the cup final considering everything that goes with Champions League qualification.

Between the race for top 4 and playing themselves into the Cup Final team, if any of the players aren't up for this one we should give them to West Ham as a memento of the final game at Upton Park.

I really hope Martial is fit for this but I can't see it. Whatever the team is, I really hope they show some balls and win this game.

champiON`s league! will be utter embarrassment for city if they dont qualify. Would absolutely love it to see Pep playing in the europa league :-D

If our players don't turn up for this shit then they can all feck off alongside the Dutch clown when he fecks off.

We got this. West Ham have nothing to play for, just a symbolic last game at Uptown. Same as back in 2007, when we secured the title and had the last game of the season at Old Trafford with basically nothing to play for but the title celebrations at the end. Everyone expected us to beat them. West Ham pissed on our parade a little bit against all odds with that Tevez goal.
Same thing will happen come Tuesday. They will celebrate the last game at Uptown Park, but we will ruin their party with a win.
History shows us that games of such occasions play against the sentimental side.

I fear that Van Gaal is incapable of motivating players for these kind of games. Feel like we'll bottle it thanks to idiotic team selection and the players not being up for it

Player's don't need anyone else to motivate them unless they are in a coma.

I never gave up on the top 4 spot but truthfully I was afraid it was gone. It seemed next to impossible but look at us now; two wins and we are in the Champions League. Football, bloody hell.

I dread the West Ham away fixture at the best of times, but with the added pressure of a CL spot at stake it just makes it all the more worse. Still, qualification is now officially in our own hands (which seems incredible considering the way the season has gone) and if that doesn't lift the players then nothing will.

They're playing for European Football which will be a massive deal for them.

I agree, but luckily they shouldnt need anyone to motivate them. Everything that they've put into this season, and whether its Champions League or Europa league next season comes down to Tuesday. If they arent motivated for this then its not LVG to blame.

I'm old enough to remember 1992, when an already relegated West Ham stepped up to kill off our title chances in a crucial game at the end of the season. This was the performance Fergie called 'obscene'.
Also, the draw in 1995 when a win would have secured the title.
Upton Park has often been a bogey-ground for us. It will be very, very tough. United need to be as up for it as we were for the cup replay.

How many league games have we won there in PL era?

Even a point would make it interesting for the final match. Can see City struggling at Swansea.

    Hopefully a win.

West Ham haven't beaten us at Upton Park in the league since 2007. Even then we were 1-0 up and missed a penalty and they scored with 2 late set-piece goals.

Doesn't mean anything anymore because Moyes and LVG seem to break these records all the time. Hadn't lost to Spurs away since 2002 or something

I'm already nervous as shit for this game. It's on my birthday too! I won't be able to enjoy the day.

That was last game of season no? Signed Tevez after that didn't we?

It will be nervy and the build up to kick off but they are the best games, I just pray we win. It doesn't matter how or what the performance is like but please let us get the important win. It would be so nice though to score early for once and just imagine getting a second soon after, it would be like Christmas. We don't make it that easy though, especially not with LVG. I cant remember the last time we have had a easy win without needing to hold on at the end.

I actually really hope that there some sort of big ceromony before the game with them all lining up, shaking hands and taking pictures with Trever Brooking etc because it's the last game there. They will be distracted by it all and surely they will have no real desire to be organised defensively anyway. There should be plenty of chances in this if we go for it and get Martial and Rashford running at them relentlessly.

Anyone who tries to dismiss the importance of qualifying for the CL is deluded. To miss out in 2 out of 3 seasons would be a total disaster for the club in terms of our stature. This is the biggest game we have had since Fergie retired.
