Proper starting to shit it, I've not felt this way before a game for a long time.

I'm calm about it. Normally would be worked up but it's just the way the season has been going that I'm not getting my hopes up to be disappointed.

I know what you are saying, but it's fecking impossible to not get ya hopes up. I mean it's just there, go and take it ffs.

I think we'll go with a defensive set up and try to nick a one nil so I see Rojo back at LB (although I really would prefer CBJ) and the dynamic duo of Carrick and Morgan shielding the defence.

    --------De Gea
    -Tony Smalling Blind Rojo
    ---Schneiderlin Carrick
    -Mata--Rooney--Lingard
    --------Rashford

However I actually think this game will end in a draw 2-2 as we will be very vulnerable from set plays without our elbowing magician on the pitch.

United to go 3 down, then win 3-4 in the dying seconds. My heart wouldn't take it, but it would be beautiful for the watching City fans.

even this canadian has heard of it be referred to as the boleyn ground... always thought it was interchangeable. like wembley and wemberly... ;)

Very tensed,at work so will miss the first half.Hope I can muster enough composure to drive home for the other half.
Incredibly naive for a United fan to hope we miss out on top4 just to get rid of LVG.Always support the club as is bigger than anyone else.

Dude. LVG's MUFC would not do that.
If we do go 3 down, we are done. We will defend and see out the 3-0, just as we did against AFC, when we went 3-0 down.

I lived and worked in East London for 10 years and I've never ever heard anyone refer to it as the Boleyn ground. :wenger:

I live in London too, until the last few days I'd never heard of Boleyn.

Yeah i lived in the area for 6 years and had no idea what everyone was going on about with the Boleyn ground. Why has all the press suddenly started calling it that?

People who want to risk an injured player need to think again. What if he ends up seriously injuring himself as a result and damages him long term? We don't want a Kompany situation on our hands.

Completely agree. Why risk the future of a possible super star for short term gain? And yes 4th and the FA cup this year (and that's assuming those two things could only be provided with Martial fit) would be small time compared to what Martial may provide the team over the duration of a healthy career.

granted i used to live in england and still spend a considerable amount of time in london, but still... this really surprises me. i guess if i'm being completely honest, i'd most likely call it "upton park" but i definitely, definitely have heard it used interchangeably with friends on both sides of the pond.

    weird how these things work!

i'm thinking more like how we surrendered against liverpool in the second leg. we had maybe one shot on target in the entire second half, but it's okay, it was smiles all round for lvg and co.

I grew up and lived in London for most of my life.

Mostly it's been called Upton Park but I've also heard it called the Boleyn ground often enough.

For some reason, the latter has become more common recently.

A bit like them being called the Hammers mainly but again, they are also called the 'Irons'. The latter more common recently.

You pays your money......and you takes your choice.

West Ham will be so up for this game, they'll treat it like a final........and as for the fans.......they do know how to intimidate the opposition.

You boys are in for a helluva fight tonight.

Birthday meal will just include me shitting myself every time my phone vibrates as I'll have Flashscore updates letting me know if a goal is scored.

I'll gladly choke on an olive tonight and go through absolute fear for 20 seconds just for us to win tonight.

Singing about bubbles is the complete opposite of intimidating, they make a lot of noise granted but I wouldn't call it intimidating.

I have zero nerves. I cannot see us getting a win tonight. Perhaps I'm too pessimistic. Or perhaps this tripe I've watched from Louis' side has me completely beaten down at this point.

What's annoying is that even if we lose tonight, I'll still have hope that we'll win on the final day with City losing at Swansea. The ride won't end until the weekend.

If we go 1-0 up tonight, I'm going to plaster my birthdat money on West Ham to score the next goal or West Ham win/draw.

Last time I felt that pressure was ahead of the CL game against RM in 2013.
