    Not a chance. He clearly goes to kick the ball, then stops when he realises he's missed it. He doesn't even follow through. It's not a second bookable offence at all.

    Why? Yellow card offences are still a booking when you've already received one.
     
    mistimed tackle and he hasn't recieved a warning for any other tackles. Bullshit.... wasn't malicious
     
    We were never going to get a fair crack with Dean refereeing, but Mata only really has himself to blame for that.
     
    LVG should switch Rojo and Blind for matches like these when we need to win those headers.
     
    Funny thing is Mata gets through mosts matches without notching a single tackle.

    You would give a yellow for that? A kick that he tried to back out of where he fouls the player at his own box? What was the yellow for? Every foul that's a tackle should be a yellow now.
     
    Should take Smalling and Martial off for Thursday now. This games and our league season are done.

    He clearly caught and tripped the player though, on the break. It's absolutely a yellow. If you bring "intention" into tackles you'll never have a correct decision.
     
    I want more than 'hugs' on his next blog I want an apology for being a complete tool. We are shit enough with 11.

    As clear a yellow as they come.
     
    There can be no complaints about the referee for those two yellows. Just interesting to see if he'll be consistent with his yellows the rest of the game. My guess: no.

    Probably take Carrick off for Schneiderlin at HT. Need extra mobility in the center to make up for being down to 10.
