30 minutes in and we haven't even threatened to have a shot... recovery my arse

Ah come on, two blatant yellows. And Mata being on the yellow should never have given him the option of getting another one out.

Not a chance. He clearly goes to kick the ball, then stops when he realises he's missed it. He doesn't even follow through. It's not a second bookable offence at all.

Because he was already booked, the ref should have gave him a last warning!

We're fecked now as we can't beat them with 11 men let alone 10!!!!

Why? Yellow card offences are still a booking when you've already received one.

mistimed tackle and he hasn't recieved a warning for any other tackles. Bullshit.... wasn't malicious

We were never going to get a fair crack with Dean refereeing, but Mata only really has himself to blame for that.

LVG should switch Rojo and Blind for matches like these when we need to win those headers.

Funny thing is Mata gets through mosts matches without notching a single tackle.

Stupid little shit. Unbelieveable circumstances to get yourself sent off.

Why the feck are some of you blaming the ref here?
You would give a yellow for that? A kick that he tried to back out of where he fouls the player at his own box? What was the yellow for? Every foul that's a tackle should be a yellow now.

Should take Smalling and Martial off for Thursday now. This games and our league season are done.

Don't worry guys, this has been the theme of this week's fixtures. Red cards galore. Usually the team with ten men become stronger! We may win this

Line up was wrong from the off though, benching our 3 best players from the last few games was such an odd decision.

He clearly caught and tripped the player though, on the break. It's absolutely a yellow. If you bring "intention" into tackles you'll never have a correct decision.

I want more than 'hugs' on his next blog I want an apology for being a complete tool. We are shit enough with 11.

I love mata but what's the point of that? it's so stupid and out of character from him.

As clear a yellow as they come.

There can be no complaints about the referee for those two yellows. Just interesting to see if he'll be consistent with his yellows the rest of the game. My guess: no.

You never know. Having 10 men might give us a kick up the arse.

It seemed to happen to Liverpool.

Difference is they have a passionate manager that encourages pressure and attack

    We don't.

Probably take Carrick off for Schneiderlin at HT. Need extra mobility in the center to make up for being down to 10.
