We got this one, mates, but it’s going to take a long time to forget the imagine of an attacking player pulling the head of a defender back and the referee finding that to be perfectly acceptable.

Of course they do. If the ref adds two minutes and a goalkeeper spends one and a half minute to take a goal kick, do you really not think time should be added on?

    Break-up of time added on:
    45:00-45:24 - Ball in play
    45:59-46:01 - Ball in play
    46:31-46:34 - Ball in play
    46:57-47:06 - Ball in play

Would you say that the two minutes lost to stoppages has been added back at the end of the period? Out of two minutes, the ball was in play for a grand total of 33 seconds. The ref then had the good taste to wait five seconds, not intend to blow when Maitland-Niles set himself up for the pass, but as soon as Martial broke he put his hand to his mouth to blow up.
They don’t. If they take an excessive amount of time taking a set piece it’s time wasting and added on. If they added on time every time the ball was out of play we’d have 30-40 minutes injury time every game.

Ole is too soft in every possible way - with officials and with individual players. Carrick wouldn't say boo to a goose! can you imagine jose or SAF with that decision?

Ole should have been in the refs face as they were coming off.

Well that was a mostly depressing half to watch. Typical that we'd struggle against this lot. I was just thinking the same when we conceded. At least the goal at the end of that half was a great finish to hopefully set us up for a better second halfm

It’s an age thing. I can attest to losing my timing for such shots as I entered my mid thirties :(
I'm mad at rashford for not coming in to support bruno more creatively, but Martial....martial kills attacks. It's beyond ridiculous now. It's always been like this, but now that we have a team that can challenge, its becoming more intolerable. It's the reason we moved him up front. He's now taking up a spot that rashford could have been driving in from, as well as not offering anything at all. always slowing things down by wanting everything on his rght foot, only to do nothing with it

Our players need to be more feckin streetwise by the way

Why isn't Lindelöf grabbing his face, rolling around as if he's been blinded!? Make the ref second guess himself.
Probably because it didn’t effect him that badly, we are just looking for excuses.

Ole said he doesn’t want his players diving around

But he's shown nothing to think he can do that. We're missing Pogba, but we'll have plenty enough to beat these. :nervous:

Donny is more likely to play some forward passes than McT and Fred - probably combined. Ole needs to tell him to attack....but, we all know there will be no subs until 80 minutes, probably a swap at LB

Get Amad in. Is he on bench? WBA are playing too compact near the box. A proper winger can easily undone them.

Hasseltwat is weird. So their goal wasn’t a foul, and Bruno’s was a shinner?

Must win match this and we'll put some points between the fourth teams

I know he doesn't, but he doesn't moan when other teams do it to us. He can be as nice as he likes, but sometimes you have to push the limits a bit.

Could be wrong but since when is extra time only the in play time?
Because the added time is supposed to compensate for lost time during the normal 45 minutes.

It goes without saying that the ball should be in play for a reasonable amount of the time that the referee adds as compensation for the ball not being in play. Otherwise a goalkeeper could just refuse to take a goal kick if it's the 93rd minute and then the referee blows up.

What a fecking ball that was by Harry.

How on Earth their goal wasn’t reviewed for a foul I’ll never know.

Just another prime example of VAR being the shite it is.

VAR is only as good as the cnut watching the replays. Thing is, what's the point of having the opportunity to review the goal if you are just going to ignore the evidence in front of your eyes.

Let's face it, if the ref had disallowed that goal, VAR wouldn't have overruled him. The VAR, after all, is part of the refs union, so, unless the ref on the pitch says "I'm not sure, I need your help on this one" he's unlikely to be overruled.
