Hopefully Rooney finds those 2 games form he had before his suspension.

I'd rather have Rooney over any of Lingard or Rashford. Despite his awfulness he at least still has end product. He might play shit but he's more likely to assist in a game compared to those 2.

Shame about Mata. Would still have preferred a slow front 3 of Mata and Rooney(if Martial wasn't available) to our other options right now.

What match has Darmian played in all season to cement a place in the starting XI?

I'm not saying Martial is playing well enough to be a nailed on starter every game. But for him to be dropped from the squad completely for the Palace game and then benched again is a little harsh. He hasn't been as poor as his treatment suggests.

Why do Man Utd Tv keep posting the formation like Herrera plays on the left of midfield alongside Carrick and Pogba as #10? That's why saying it's a 4-3-3 is misleading. Carrick plays so deep that a 4-1-4-1 tells it much better.

Logical picks, if not my own choice. Rooney has offered at least as much Martial this season and Lingard is a bit more direct than Mata, so might make for a more balanced front line. I'd rather he gambled on Martial, but I get his thinking.
