Its always nice to see fans who have faith in our team. It's really refreshing.

Keane used to talk about how opponents would be beaten in the tunnel before the game. Lets just hope our players aren't of the same mind as some of the pessimistic lot on here.

We'll do 'em, I have a good feeling about this. I'm looking to Falcao to really unleash himself tonight

    Cleverley sells watch
    watch.png

Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley has apparently sold his custom engraved club watch to a pawnbroker. The player, on loan at Aston Villa, has been criticised heavily by fans over the past few months and this action points towards him possibly seeing his future away from Manchester United. Read the Daily Mail article here or join the Cleverley discussion here.
Incredibly excited which is a bit childish of me but this season I'm really really looking forward to our games again!

btw, I hope RVP will start the match on the bench. His last matches were terrible and he doesn't deserve to get the next chance.

Made Falcao my captain in my Fantasy League this week so fully expect to be sent off after 10 minutes. After scoring 2 own goals.

Yeah glad to see you so excited, Marouane, we are excited too. But like us I hope you won't feature in today's game.

I really hope Adnan gets his chance today and would love to see Carrick for some minutes.

Reading that blog post from makes you realise what a genuine guy he is.

Impossible to have any negative feeling towards him, he could have his way with my fiancée and I wouldn't even be mad at his little Spanish cheeks.

Anyway, more to the point, buzzing for the game tonight, really hoping we put on a good show in preparation for Chelsea next week.

Fellaini,he is more like Fail'laini.so slow,so lazy,he is not LVG "cup of tea".there is no place for him in the squad, even Perreira looks better.i hope, that today we set the best squad and win by big numbers!

It has been way too long since the last game. Really excited for this. Feels like a CL final after all this time.

    Predicting a 3-2 United win.

So glad this wait is almost over. Damn you international football, damn you all to hell!

    Fergie's Farewell

Who can forget Sir Alex Ferguson's 1500th and final game in charge of Manchester United as they drew 5:5 away to West Bromwich Albion last year. See the goals here.

In that match, Januzaj appeared in the Premier League 18-man squad for the first time, but alas didn't feature at all during that game due to the hectic nature of things.

With murmurings from Adnan's agent that he could start this game, it'll be interesting to see what team Louis van Gaal decides to field as he looks for his first away league victory in charge of United.
So glad this wait is almost over. Damn you international football, damn you all to hell!

Your not happy about the extra 2 weeks for Jones, Smallings, Evans, Herrara, Carrick to get match fit or atleast get very close? Ashley Young being fit is the icing on the cake, Im sure his rearing to dive

United need another 3 points tonight because we play Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal in our next 4 games. Everton at home could be classed as being a tough game but, in terms of really tough matches, Chelsea and City will provide a real measure of where this team is at, so any dropped points before those games really damage the team prospects. Van Gaal is fully aware we need a win to "We have to start with a victory after the international break because we have won the last two games, but West Brom did that too so they also want to win the match. It won't be easy." Another win will bring about some more confidence after hard fought wins against West Ham and Everton going into that Chelsea game on Sunday. There is no psychological benefit from being in fourth at this stage its simple about getting points we need and building confidence into the squad again. I believe the players are responding and do believe in Van Gaal’s methods, but ultimately getting results breeds the type of confidence needed to get United back to the level we belong. The target for the 10th game of the season is to be on 18 points which means we can only afford to drop 2 points in the next 3 games. I think that is a big ask of the players, but I also believe they can achieve that, but it requires not slipping up to a West Brom side that have blown hot and cold this season. Like most sides we face they have little pressure on them. They are unpredictable team but I’m pretty sure they will be bang up for it tonight. This is the type of game United have to win if we want to get back into the Champions League.

Irvine was an underwhelming choice as manager for West Brom fans, but he has done a solid job so far and has proved a decent tactician. "They play not only long balls but they also play a positional game. They are dangerous opponents. But no opponent in the Premier League is easy to beat.” Van Gaal said. The big tactical questions lie with United. Van Gaal is searching for better balance in the side and now United have defenders fit again will he deviate from the 442 diamond which seems to be his default and return to the 3-4-1-2 system we started the season with in order to give United a better balance defensively? Our biggest threat and best player so far this season has been Di Maria breaking forward from the left-side of the diamond, but I’m expecting to see more from the front three of Van Persie, Falcao and Mata now they have built up some fitness and form. Their combination play could important. West Brom will play one up front and will be looking to stretch us on the counterattack with Berahino’s pace. The problem they may have is getting numbers forward from midfield to support him. When teams have attacked us we have looked nervous and made mistakes in our possession play so I would like to see more control from us in this respect. Blind is an important player in the technical sense of controlling possession although his lack of physical power could be a problem against someone like Sessegnon who is capable of breaking forward powerfully on the counter-attack. On the flanks United lack width, but Rafael and Shaw have been excellent in attacking from full-back. On the defensive side the threat of Di Maria breaking forward into spaces full-backs leave help pin back right-backs, but with Herrera possibly a doubt with a rib injury the right-side may lack a dynamic player with Valencia also injured and Rafael may get overloaded.

    What to Look for;
    · The system, will Van Gaal revert to a 3-man defence now he has options in defence again?
    · Di Maria, by far United best and most exciting player so far this season.
    · The combination of the front three. They have yet to find top form or combine well so far this season.
    · Can United control West Brom’s counter-attacks and their own possession play better.
    · Blind vs Sessegnon.
    · The right-side of the diamond, who will play there if Valencia and Herrera are not fit and will this allow WBA left back space to get forward and overload Rafael.
The extra couple of days rest after the international break will have proved useful for Van Gaal and he has good options again. Here would be my starting 11 and subs

Subs – Lindegaard, Smalling, Fellani, Fletcher, Januzaj, Young, Wilson

    As would I.
Can't see why he would have tweeted his excitement otherwise so I'm expecting it. Really annoyed though. Just have to hope he doesn't do anything too and hopefully Carrick can replace him in the second half.

I agree that this time the break was a blessing, but normally I'm fecking dreading international football!

Yes that's what I predicted too.

Would love a comfortable win though.

Say what you want about Fellaini but you can't call him lazy, he works his arse off, all be it with little end product.

Another DDG interview in English on SSN - just the typical 3 points important, important to get the first away win, he feels in the best form of his United career but it's important for him to carry on with that form in every game - not just about him his team mates are playing well as well.

If we have Blind sticking with Sessengnons runs forward we should eliminate a good portion of their fire power

Works his arse off watching the ball whilst his man is running in behind the defence.

His last appearance in our last game was the epitome of laziness. He had one job to do, and he didn't do it. It was thanks to DDG for bailing him out.

Some people might be happy. Falcao had a long trip. He shall have some jet lags. So Juice shall play. It is importnat that they perform the philosophy. It shall take some time, i am sorry but it shall take some time.
