After living a lot of pre Fergie years, I'd say shit is very unappreciative of what the team is now. The post Fergie years haven't been great, but they haven't been shit. Big Ron got the team playing attractive but unsuccessful football. Imaging going into every season knowing your team was only going to maybe win an FA or League cup. We won 2 trophies last season and the FA cup the one prior. Shit teams don't do that, they struggle to stay in the league.
I wonder how the Caf would cope if we got relegated again. Match going fans were amazing back then, such amazing support for the team, turned up in their tens of thousands in the old second division.
