Expecting another world class performance from Lingard, and Lukaku to bury all his chances.

I'm also eagerly awaiting a dirty WhatsApp message from Rachel Riley and a job interview at the Mercedes F1 team.
Wait your turn, you greedy fellow!

So Jose is starting to trust Lindelöf enough to go 3-4-3 and play him in a difficult away game. Interesting.

Not hyped about Lingard starting, but I guess we don't have a better option right now with Rashford having picked up a knock and Mkhi being completely out of form.

We're going quite defensive for this one. 3 center backs and 2 full backs.

I think Mourinho knows Watford can do some damage and will be hoping to hit them on the counter attack.

seeing who is playing, lindelof, rojo, young and lingard, it won't surprise me what result we get

Looks like Lingard's playing as RWB. He runs a lot I suppose, might do alright there.

Unsure about that lineup but we'll see how it goes, I'm sticking with 2-2.

I saw this on another website, and I'm quite surprised by it: "Despite taking charge of both Hull City and Watford since becoming a Premier League manager in January 2017, Marco Silva has only won four games fewer (12) than Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho (16) in this period."

(I hope it's ok to quote)
At first I thought that didn't seem right at all. With 9 wins this season it'd mean we only had 7 wins from 5th Jan to the end of last season.

Then I checked. 7 wins, 9 draws, 2 losses in that period. Feck me  (though to be fair we pretty much gave up the league later on to focus on EL)

    Where’s Valencia playing?

Can't complain about Lingard when Mata and Mkhi have both been shite, hope he does well.

We are going to need a couple goal cushion, or we will be under an aerial assault in the late goings. I’m not confident our defenders can handle Deeney coming and pushing them around. Thank goodness Rojo is back in the lineup at least to deal with some of the physicality.

Lingard gets a lot of over the top criticism. Hope he plays well tonight.

    It'll be

    DDG
    Lindelof - Smalling - Rojo
    Valencia - - - - - - - - - Young
    Pogba - Matic
    Lingard
    Lukaku - Martial

    I'd imagine

I think Lingard plays on the right and Martial left of a 3-4-3. Jose would want to match their formation man to man especially on the wings.

On a serious note, is just me that finds that always changing formation to mimic the opposition formation might be counter productive. I feel we are better off mastering a system rather than being a jack of all trades.

Lingard's movement might mean Pogba drifting a bit wider at times. He put in a good cross for Martial against Newcastle as well.

We might not have enough individual brilliance to stick to one system.

No, I like Pragmatism. Look how predictable Liverpool are against the 'small' sides for example. Everyone knows they will line up 4-3-3.

Not confident here....really Can’t see us winning at all.

    Ever the optimist.

Our players have weaknesses . We are putting forwards and wingers ,they cant do defensive duties and that's why wingback takes those duties. With defensive duties they are ineffective in attack.
