Don’t we have any academy players who could flourish now with this new system and coach. Would love to see a new Mainoo!

    .................Onana.............

    .....Yoro.Maguire.De Ligt.....
    Amad..............................Malacia
    ...........Eriksen..Casemiro..............
    ..........Antony...Zirkzee................
    ..................Rashford..................

    It ends with a draw.

    Onana
    Yoro-Maquire-Martinez
    Amad-Fernandes-Ugarte-Mazraoui
    Mount Eriksen
    Højlund

Won´t happen, but it would be fun to watch.

We cant lose 3 on the bounce and I dont think we will. 3-1 Utd. Rashford will undoubtably score.

Hoping we score a few goals here to boost a little confidence for the derby.

    Baring in mind it’s City at the weekend;

    Onana
    Yoro - Maguire - Mazraoui
    Casemiro - Eriksen
    Antony - Mount - Rashford - Malacia
    Zirkzee

Need to win this to move up the table in Europa and get some confidence before playing City.

Their whole squad is worth as much as Dalot.

The most they have ever spent on a player is 6m. That's their transfer record

Even if we were Southfeckinghampton we should easily be beating them.

    It's getting silly now.
All of the above could be said about plenty of teams that has either drawn or have beaten United the last few seasons. Last away European match I recall United winning easily was the behind closed doors match v LASK in spring of 2020.

This is beyond ridiculous. United must easily win against such an opponent - always, under any circumstances, no matter home or away, by several goals.

Do wonder if Eriksen get's a game here and I'm not sure some like Ugarte, Maz & Amad really NEED resting, most teams can play players twice a week to a high level and none of them look unfit and I'd hope he realises all 3 are part of his strongest team.

was thinking something along that, but then maybe he wants Mount fit for the weekend, probably doesn't rest Bruno, may play Martinez instead of Mazraoui, maybe Garnacho plays today and sits out for Mount on Sunday.. it's just so difficult to predict at the moment

Malacia, Casemiro, Rashford, Zirkzee are the only 100% playing

Is that confirmed? Playing Hojlund and Garnacho ahead of Zirkzee and Rashford in a game against City seems like complete madness to me (assuming forward starters tonight won’t start Sunday) but hopefully it works out.

Not confirmed, just my guess. Pretty sure it will be Hojlund vs. City

Fair enough. Thought Hojlund was absolutely awful against Forest and I didn’t see the Arsenal match but reports were similar there. I don’t understand how bad he has to be to get dropped and it’s critical we have someone who can hold the ball up against City. Zirkzee by all accounts was good against Everton and has barely been seen since.

I’d definitely play Hojlund tonight as European minnows seems to be a good level for him. If he does well, could then consider retaining him for Sunday.

I would have had no idea about the early kick off if I didn’t check this thread. Thank you, thread.

Oh good stuff. I’d also missed that. Thought I’d miss the whole match but should be able to watch most of it now.

A win here would put us in a comfortable position to qualify.

Have you asked yourself why United haven't done this over the last 4 years in any away European game?

by all accounts it's going to be a much rotated starting team again with probably a much changed defence again, Plzen from what I've seen of them are decent on set pieces and won't want to lose their unbeaten record in this competition at home tonight.

Plzen are a good team, no worse than Bodo/Glimt. They are physical, they are comfortable sitting deep and they are very good at creating and scoring opportunities on the break. Not expecting much, especially away.

    Plzen 3:2.

Listened to the Talk of The Devils pod couples days ago. They usually have a local journalist of any club that we will face against in Europe to get more hindsight on the opponent. Interestingly this Czech reporter mentioned that Viktoria Plzen also with play with the same formation or the least 3 at the back as well. So it should be a good game, or at least i hope we will have.

have to admit, I've never even heard of Plzen, let alone know what the team is like. I kept thinking Poznan! At least my boss is letting me finish early so I can watch the game (or maybe that's not a good thing)

The only ridiculous thing here is that entitled attitude.

Anyone know where I can watch a full match highlight video? I’m going to miss the game due to work :(

Hopefully this is a crowd-Plzen performance from us and that Amorim knows the secret to unlocking Victoria's defence.
