    Casemiro's been our best player and De Ligt has done nothing wrong. Not much more I can say other than I am fecking glad I didn't travel the 3 hours to watch this dross.
     
    Our Estonian Premium League games have more urgency and quality than this first half.
     
    It's like watching someone play a football computer game where they don't know what buttons to push. So bad it's funny.

    Mate, if we put Jarrod Bowen in this team it'd be like night and day. Just by being willing and able to go beyond a defender. Genuinely, I think Dan James would do better than some of those out there. Can you believe we used to moan about the likes of Nani? Compared to what we're watching Nani looked like Rivaldo.

    There is a long list of players competing for that:
    Antony
    Casemiro
    Martinez
    Onana
    Mount

    Basically every signing that EtH was invovled in. What's funny is that he coached half of those players and if the man had his way, we would have had Weghorst and Amrabat. EtH and the previous management has absolutely destroyed the club and its finances with their recruitment. The only way we get back into top 4 is if the board manages to pull off some highly succesful signings (ala Salah, Palmer signings etc.)
     
    Did we all do something heinous in a past life or something. Nobody deserves this.

    Yeah - Sporting looked shit in this system. These players would be flying in any other system.
     
    The wing backs offered nothing going forward in that half, for this system to work that can not happen.

    Definitely time to give one or two talented attacking players from the youth teams a chance. That's how we got the initial Rashford.

    Even in his very best season, his general play was always of this quality. Most of you didn't pay any attention to it because his goals gave you permission to view his performances purely in the light of statistics. Every argument regarding his general play was swept in a degree of emotion under the rug of his goal output.

    Now, finally, there isn't that to fall back on. It's not that Rashford just got worse in his general play. It's that you just didn't pay attention before.
     
    Not great really is it? Zero creativity from us, and with not much signs or anything to come. Need way more urgency and posssibly some changes in the second half.

    We all know the current set-up is going nowhere and needs a serious overhaul.

    Attacking wise we looked much more dangerous under Ruud and even EtH.

    Don't forget that we were unlucky at times with results where we created enough chances, but our finishing was piss poor and midfield very weak.

    We don't look like scoring, attacking or creating at all now. We are more composed, look more solid defensively because we keep possession more, but I don't think this set up will have us create chances at all. Playing bloody 5 defenders.

    You've named players nowhere near as bad as Zirkzee.
     
    No doubt Amorim is happy to be at one of the world's biggest clubs but he surely couldn't have been prepared for this bunch of inadequates.
     
    So boring. Dortmund v Barca had so much talent all over the pitch yesterday and it was fun to watch. And then there is us.

    Amorim has to realize soon that Rashford is not an AM. Neither is Garnacho for that matter.

    Absolutely. When he does run with effort it is either to run in behind, or entirely performative like a solo pressing effort several seconds after losing possession.

    In Portugal? There is no guarantee that it will work in the PL, even Tuchel struggled to work such a system.

    It seems like we willing to give up this season for a chance that it might work from next.. seems risky business to me.

    Almost no top team plays like this, for multiple reasons.
     
    EtH got 10 million £ to leave this bunch. Guess he sipping away on some fancy Dutch ale and laughing now.

    About as bad as we could be without conceding really that half. Many of these players just not up to it.
     
    Even Antony is a better option than Rashford right now
     
    Amad at RWB and Bruno at 10 after an hour I reckon. They can play these positions, but this team doesn't have enough quality at wing back and in the attacking positions to handle them not playing there.
